Today is a momentous milestone regarding MLP porn statistics. This update coincides with the three year anniversary of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. 
Let's see how much fan-generated porn was made during the first three years of the brony fandom.
As of October 10, 2013, here's the state of Rule 34, according to Rule34.paheal.net:
Pokemon still holds the lead with 65,951 images. 1,360 new explicit images were added during September, giving Pokemon a 2.1% increase in porn from last month.
Touhou is in second place with 42,791 images. 442 new explicit images were added during September, giving Touhou a 1% increase in porn from last month.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is in third place with 39,923 images. 1,666 new explicit images were added during September, giving My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic a 4.3% increase in porn from last month.
DC Comics is in fourth place with 22,503 images. 252 new explicit images were added during September, giving DC Comics a 1.1% increase in porn from last month.
Street Fighter is in fifth place with 16,778 images. 137 new explicit images were added during September, giving Street Fighter a 0.8% increase in porn from last month.
Naruto is in sixth place with 16,489 images. 264 new explicit images were added during September, giving Naruto a 1.6% increase in porn from last month.
Marvel Comics is in seventh place with 16,091 images. 159 new explicit images were added during September, giving Marvel Comics a 0.9% increase in porn from last month.
Sonic Team is in eighth place with 14,206 images. 371 new explicit images were added during September, giving Sonic Team a 2.6% increase in porn from last month.
Digimon is in ninth place with 11,280 images. 188 new explicit images were added during September, giving Digimon a 1.6% increase in porn from last month.
Idolm@ster is in tenth place with 10,392 images. 3 new explicit images were added during September, giving Idolm@ster a 0.02% increase in porn from last month.
While My Little Pony still produced the most porn in September, it wasn't able to generate more than 2,000 new images for a third consecutive month. Hopefully we'll see a surge in production after the premiere of season four.
On October 10th, 2010 My Little Pony had less than 100 images on rule34.paheal.net. The previous three generations of the series had only managed to generate 88 explicit pictures. After Friendship is Magic premiered, My Little Pony became a cultural phenomenon.
On the first anniversary of Friendship is Magic, the amount of MLP porn rose from 88 images to 2,778. A total of 2,690 new images were added during the first year of the brony fandom. That's an increase of 3,057%!
On the second anniversary of the series, the level of explicit images went from 2,778 to 17,309. A total of 14,531 new images were added during the second year of the brony fandom. That's an increase of 523%!
Now on the third anniversary, the volume of porn production brought the total from 17,309 to 39,923. A total of 22,614 new images were added during the third year of the brony fandom. That's an increase of 130%!
It should be noted that the numbers on Paheal have a margin of error. After calculating all the data for any given month, an artist may later request that their art be removed from the site. This will lead to numerical irregularities, since I've counted an image which no longer exists on the site. The impact of these statistical hiccups is negligible, but I still felt the need to address it here.
After looking over the data for the last three years, the brony fandom shows no signs of slowing down. Porn production continues to increase annually while building upon the success of previous years.
Now that we've gone over the monthly update for the top ten porn producers, it's time to analyze the latest data regarding Rule 34 images for the mane six. Those who read the previous update will recall that it ended in a cliffhanger, with Applejack and Rarity tied for last place. To help recreate the gripping drama, here's a special guest comic by the paragon of perversity, Cybersp0nge!

Before I talk about Applejack and Rarity, let me just say that I don't think anyone would've predicted that there would be two major upsets in ranking this month! I never would've guessed that Fluttershy would sneak into third place with three more porn pictures than Pinkie Pie. It's always the quiet ones...
It should also be noted that Rainbow Dash broke the 5,000 barrier this month. Five grand of spectral smut is a big milestone. Congratulations!
It would appear that after being in last place for more than two years, Applejack has finally surpassed her rival. Rarity is now in sixth place.
I wouldn't worry too much about Ponyville's favorite fashionista. Rarity is taking her defeat in stride; with quiet dignity and grace.
Due to Rarity's massive sex appeal, I'm confident that she won't be out of the spotlight for long. Cybersp0nge selected Rarity to help pitch his idea for an animated adult parody of MLP:FIM, which will have copious amounts of sex, drugs and ultra-violence!

More than one year ago as part of my initial rule34 update, I speculated on what kind of impact the brony community would have on the porn industry.
"If an adult film studio saw the popularity of MLP and wanted to capitalize on it, would anyone want to watch "My Little Porno" with actual porn stars?...
...Would a real life anthro porn version of the show appeal to anyone, or should the only pony porn look like ponies from the show?"
A lot has happened to MLP within the last year. Thanks to Equestria Girls, the notion of humanized ponies isn't as farfetched as it was before. With that in mind, let's talk about the Pixel Vixens' My Little Pony porn parody.
ABagOVicodin has already commented on this, so I won't dwell on it too long. Some will view this parody as a sign that the porn industry is finally acknowledging bronies, but I'm inclined to disagree. Pixel Vixens is known for catering to nerd culture.
My Little Pony has an enormous presence on the Internet, so Pixel Vixens making a porn parody of Friendship is Magic is to be expected. That being said, it's worth noting that the MLP porno is Pixel Vixens' first ever full length (giggity) feature film. Also, does anyone else think that the porn star dressed as Rainbow Dash bears a passing resemblance to Lauren Faust?
After watching the trailer, I was left with the impression that the film has plenty of T&A, but was lacking heart & soul. The creators of the porn parody may be fans of MLP, but the whole venture felt more like an obligational cash grab which didn't take full advantage of the unique characters or setting.
When it comes to live action My Little Pony porn, I'm actually much more interested by the contributions of an adult film star not associated with Pixel Vixens. Her name is Tasha Reign; seen here dressed as a princess.
She's been featured in such films as Busty Invaders from Mars, Here Cums the Bride and Buttsex Nymphos 2. Reign owns her own production company and writes and directs most of her material. Here's a trailer for a porno she directed entitled Sleepover Party Cupcake Sluts.
Reign's first professional porn film, Sticky Situation for Helpless Girls, was released in 2010, less than two months before the premiere of Friendship is Magic. Reign has been a fan of My Little Pony ever since she was a little girl. Here she is pictured with 'fellow brony' Bill Clinton.

"Honestly, I don't even think people would touch it, just because, like I said, we're not trying to do anything with My Little Pony - it's obviously inspired by it, and I'll have a movie about my Pony Plugs, and it's more about this particular - I mean, there's a huge adult fan base, which I'm sure you're aware of, people like Furries and adult Pony fans that are called Bronies, and it's like a niche thing has become worldwide, and there's lots of conventions and forums and all sorts of stuff. So this was just more of my idea based on CrystalDelights.com's already existing line of fur tails, so when I thought of this idea, I had been working on it for a while, but then I decided to write a movie. I got somebody to write a movie about the tails, and about the girls, and we're filming it next week. It's going to be really cool...
...I cast really hot blonde girls that I'm a big fan of. All of the male talent are really hot, and I designed all the clothes, and custom ordered all of the cutest little accessories and ears and horns and wings and all sorts of crazy stuff! It's definitely going to be a unique experience."
Wow! When I speculated on MLP influencing the porn industry last August, I had no idea that explicit equine-inspired entertainment would happen so quickly. Friendship is Magic premiered three short years ago and has already prompted two professionally-produced porn parodies involving unicorn horns, pegasus wings and pony tails!
Reign has done more than just American porn. One of her favorite experiences was flying over to Japan and filming some movies for a Japanese porn studio. She couldn't believe how different the censorship laws were between the two countries. In Japan, male and female genitalia are censored using a mosaic blur.
Nearly 150 years ago, a chain of events led to the restoration of imperial rule in Japan under Emperor Meiji.
During the Meiji Era, materials deemed “injurious to public morals” were banned, including criticism of the government, writings which promoted American ideals and pornography.
After Japan was defeated in World War II, American occupation authorities, led by General Douglas MacArthur, changed many of Japan’s laws to guarantee freedom of speech and expression for its citizens. Gen. MacArthur decided that Japan's restrictive pre-existing laws regarding pornography didn’t need to be changed and have remained in effect as of this writing. Is it just me, or does Gen. MacArthur look an awful lot like Bruce Willis?
But I digress...
It's been nearly 70 years since World War II and during that time Japan's struggle for erotic expression has been an uphill battle. As the years progressed, Japanese censorship laws acknowledged that the artistic merit of a work can be a mitigating factor in determining whether or not a particular work should be considered obscene. Between 1959 and 1960 an abridged translation of Marquis de Sade's "Juliette" appeared published in two volumes. This translation was done by Tatsuhiko Shibusawa, who along with the editor Kyoji Ishii were indicted in 1960 for possessing and selling obscene literature. On October 16, 1962 the Tokyo District Court considered that 14 passages of the translated texts were offensive and violated the public decorum, yet translator and editor were acquitted on the grounds that these passages "were too brutal and 'unreal'" and "did not (effectively) appeal to sexual passion and therefore could not be considered obscene under Article 175." However, on November 21, 1963 the Tokyo High Court disagreed with the decision taken by the Tokyo District Court and found the accused guilty of obscenity. On October 15, 1969, the Supreme Court upheld this ruling, citing that "obscene sections render an entire work obscene."
Which isn't to imply that the American porn industry isn't without its own censorship issues. In Japan, genitals and penetration are blurred, which is a stark contrast from American porn. Censorship within the United States is focused primarily with eliminating any perceived forced sex. In order for porn to be distributed in America, it can't depict a girl struggling, or saying "No." She can't be tied up "against her will" within the context of the video.
"There are all sorts of things you can't do, because states won't distribute them," Reign said, "In Japan, they're much more open-minded to weird, fetish, creepy stuff that most people here would be horrified by, but they secretly want to see."
I've recently expressed my thoughts regarding fantasy rape play. I've said it before, but it bears repeating. I'm not advocating actual rape. Porn is an illusion, so why are some perverted proclivities prohibited? Why are ravishment fantasies essentially banned in American porn? Killing is wrong, yet there are many video games and movies which are filled with murder and mayhem.
The first porn film that Tasha Reign directed involved a scene of her hazing another girl in a sorority, spiking her drink and then playing with her while she was passed out. Reign thought the scene was "sexy and cool," but American porn studios weren't willing to distribute it because current censorship standards prevent porn from depicting implied date rape.
"I feel like there are a lot of people here that have a lot of perverse fantasies, but because it's America and because we're so ingrained with religion, we don't even realize how important that is to our community, even if we're not religious," Reign said, "It's within every single bit of the media - even adult entertainment."
America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. It's so engrained in American pop culture that even the porn it produces has strict moral standards. What does it say about American society when it can have a show like Law and Order: SVU, which features sexual violence in every episode, but doesn't allow for ravishment fantasies within its porn industry?
Isn't it fascinating? In a hentai, the genitalia of animated characters is blurred, but the characters are allowed to depict rape scenarios. In America, the genitalia of porn stars is uncensored, but the actors are prohibited from enacting rape fantasies. Restriction breeds creativity. Since Japan can't show penetration, they have to be much more creative when presenting their porn. This allows for unique camera angles and settings. With American porn, it often devolves into nothing but up-close shots of penetration and smiling, cum-stained faces. It's effective, but gets old quickly when used in excess.
"I heard somebody say that you can always judge a society by their pornography, and it's true," Reign said, "You can criticize both Japanese porn and US porn, and then both of them have good aspects, as well, but they're just so different, and I think that in Japan you're allowed to be a lot more perverted and weird and do a bunch of things that you're not allowed to show - you can't show any penetration, ever - but here, in the videos, you're almost required to come. The girl has to really look like not only is she having an orgasm, and she really wanted to have sex, and she loved taking a load on her face. You really need to send these messages while you're making the porn, you're really kind of told to do that afterwards. You're told "This is where the pop shot is going to go, and you want to look like you're super happy and this is super fun."
But in Japan, it's the complete opposite. You actually are not allowed to do that. You cannot act like you wanted to have sex, you want to act the exact opposite, because I think it's a cultural more, almost - like the girl needs to look like she did not want to have sex. I guess you can say, you can use the word 'rape,' but they have a lot of rape porn over there, so it's pretty crazy. It's totally different from here, and I can understand why a lot of people would find it disturbing, but once you're more educated about it, and you actually are in the business and you do your research and stuff, it's kind of more interesting than it is upsetting."

Glad to see that you are staying rather neutral on the Pixel Vixens porno, but I feel the need to point something out about it.
I wouldn't exactly call them a "professional" porn company. They're just a cosplay porn website and unlike most Hollywood porn studios and pornstars, they are actual fans and natural bodies. No plastic surgery, breast implants, high amounts of makeup to look like a pro supermodel. These girls aren't afraid to show off their nakedness even if they aren't skinny like 99% of the Hollywood's pornstars. Another very informative update. I do love how much we were against porn. While I may have seemed to glorify the porn industry to some degree in this blog post, I honestly don't care for live-action pornography. Clopfics and other forms of erotic literature are much more stimulating for me.
