Without further ado, here's the latest data from Rule34.paheal.net!

As of February 10, 2016, here's the state of Rule 34:

Pokemon still holds the lead with 108,153 images. 1,808 new explicit images were added during January.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is in second place with 84,167 images. 1,469 new explicit images were added during January.

Touhou is in third place with 65,503 images. 1,308 new explicit images were added during January.

Pokemon surpassed My Little Pony in porn production. 23,986 images separates Pokemon and My Little Pony! The gap has increased by 339 images from last month.

As of February 10, 2016, here's the state of Rule 34 for the mane six, according to Rule34.paheal.net:

Twilight Sparkle  has 12,400 images. 207 explicit images were added during January.

Fluttershy :yay: has 9,851 images. 134 explicit images were added during January.

Rainbow Dash :rainbowdetermined2: has 9,695 images. 136 explicit images were added during January.

Pinkie Pie :pinkiehappy: has 8,444 images. 101 explicit images were added during January.

Rarity :raritystarry: has 8,193 images. 157 explicit images were added during January.

Applejack :ajsmug: has 7,777 images. 103 explicit images were added during January.

Rarity had a surprise showing in second place! Only 251 images seperate Rarity from Pinkie Pie. Unless something changes, Rarity could be in fourth place sometime this year.

Pinkie Pie and Applejack are both solidifying themselves as the lowest tier ponies. They consistantly come up short when compard to the others. Fluttershy's rising from fourth to third place won't be as dramatic as Pinkie Pie's fall from third to fifth place.

Special thanks to Infinion, who made these amazing graphs of the data I collected.

To start off with, here's the master chart of the top three Rule 34 producers.

This chart represents more than five years' worth of Rule 34 data. In order to more closely examine the numbers, Infinion has broken the data into more manageable semi-annual charts.
Oct. 2010 - Mar. 2011.
Apr. - Sept. 2011.
Oct. 2011 - Mar. 2012.
Apr. - Sept. 2012.
Oct. 2012 - Mar. 2013.
Apr. - Sept. 2013.
Oct. 2013 - Mar. 2014.
Apr. - Sept. 2014
Oct. 2014 - Mar. 2015
Apr. - Sept. 2015
Which brings us to February 2016.

To get an idea of how far My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has come since its premiere, here's a chart highlighting the monthly numerical data and moving average of MLP porn.

For those who desire a more consolidated look at the raw data, here's the numbers for the top three porn producers, as well as their monthly increase.

Now let's take a look at the Rule 34 stats for the mane six. Here's their master chart.

In order to discover what these numbers mean, we'll need to delve deeper. In order to do that, we'll break down the data into semi-annual chunks.
Oct. 2010 - Mar. 2011.
Apr. - Sept. 2011.
Oct. 2011 - Mar. 2012.

Oct. 2013 - Mar. 2014.
Apr. - Sept. 2014.
Oct. 2014 - Mar. 2015.
Apr. - Sept. 2015
Which brings us to March 2016.

Here's a bar chart illustrating the monthly increase for the mane six. (Total number; monthly increase)

For those who desire a more consolidated look at the raw data, here's the numbers for the mane six, as well as their monthly increase.

Last September, I discussed Pokemon and why its been able to maintain its prominence in popular culture for twenty years. With Pokemon celebrating its 20th anniversary on February 27th, now is the perfect time to learn more about the weird and wonderful things that make Pokemon the number one inspiration for explicit imagery in existence.

This month also marks the 30th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda videogame series. I may go into more detail later, but for now, I'm mainly going to focus on Pokemon. I will mention this, however: As of February 10th, 2016, the Legend of Zelda has 13,235 explicit images on Rule34.paheal.net.

In the Pokemon games, you had a young couple who battled with some of the most sexually suggestive Pokemon around.

Even the Pokedex has some questionable entries.

The Pokemon manga got away with some of the most overtly sexual allusions.

The Pokemon anime is rife with suggestive imagery.

The questionable content in the banned Pokemon episodes range from seizure-inducing strobe lights, to racism, to gunplay, to... whatever James is doing.

But, in spite of these controversies, Pokemon has proved that it can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'!

This cultural relevance was reaffirmed with the Pokemon 20th Anniversary commercial which played during the Superbowl.

Even the Superbowl national anthem was Pokemon themed, with Lady Gaga sporting an awesome Blaziken cosplay.

This isn't the first association Lady Gaga has had with Pokemon...

2016 is Pokemon's 20th anniversary, so it's no surprise that this would be a big year for the series.
2013 was the 30th anniversary of My Little Pony, but it barely got a mention.

If it weren't for bronies, the 30th anniversary of MLP would've been largely forgotten.

About the only thing Hasbro gave us was a re-release of the first My Little Pony movie.

When I did my Hub retrospective, I talked about G.I. Joe and how some fans were underwhelmed by the way in which the 50th anniversary of the toyline was commemorated. Maybe Hasbro doesn't know how to properly celebrate milestone anniversaries...

Oh, come on! This special collection from the Transformers 30th anniversary in 2014 cost nearly $200! This pack features Optimus Prime, Megatron, Smooth Jazz and Soundwave figures, re-imagined as members of an epic band who reunite after conflict, controversy and even court battles. It was a Comic Con exclusive.
• ‘Til All Are One Tour pack re-imagines Transformers as members of a hard-rockin’ band
• Includes Optimus Prime, Megatron, Smooth Jazz, and Soundwave figures
• Liner notes tell the story of The Knights of Unicron band

While Hasbro may have a spotty record when it comes to celebrating milestone, one thing's for sure. Nintendo certainly knows how to make the most of an anniversary.

This is the year of Pokemon. Over the coming months, as interest in Pokemon grows, its porn production will also increase. If My Little Pony wants to catch up, artists will have to seriously step up their game or risk being left behind in the dust of the Pokemon juggernaut.

Thanks again for reading to the end of another Rule 34 update! I'll be back next month with more information and analysis.

It's the tenth of the month and you know what that means

:trollestia:

Aside from popularity Pokemon also has a ton of Pokemon of various shapes and sizes to satisfy those in the mood for furry action but also has a seemingly never ending supply of sexy human characters as well.

At first I was really embarrassed at all this material that other people were involved with. But then during the big break between Seasons 3 and 4 of MLP, I actually looked to these posts as evidence that the interest in Pony hadn't waned, so these statistics became a source of hope. Looking at the last few updates, and Pokemon still going strong, I'm pretty sure MLP won't ever overtake it on Paheal. But I don't let that get me down at all.

I really love this monthly post. Loots of good information!
Not surprised to see Twilight at #1 since she is the "main character" of the show.
A bit puzzled to see Fluttershy at #2 but, as they always say, "It's always the quiet ones, isn't it :)"

Keep up the good work
