MLP Rule 34 Update Nov. 2012 / Election Poll 2012 Results · 8:10am Dec 5th, 2012
It's the fifth of the month, so you know what that means! It's time for another Bronystories pony smut update! For those who missed my previous three posts on this subject, they can be found here, here and here.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the good people at rule34.paheal.net, I've been able to observe trends in explicit material.
The big news this month is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (MLP:FIM) surpassing DC Comics to become the third-largest porn producer on the site!
Congratulations, MLP: FIM! Pretty impressive for a series barely two years old!
As of Nov. 5, here's how things are shaping up:
Pokemon still holds the lead with 53,566 images. 1,075 new explicit images were added during October, giving Pokemon a 2.1% increase in porn from last month.
Touhou is in second place with 31,737 images. 963 new explicit images were added during October, giving Touhou a 3% increase in porn from last month.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is now in third place with 19,165 images. 1,869 new explicit images were added during October, giving My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic a 9.7% increase in porn from last month.
DC Comics is in fourth place with 18,098 images. 442 new explicit images were added during October, giving DC Comics a 2.4% increase in porn from last month.
Street Fighter is in fifth place with 14,121 images. 352 new explicit images were added during October, giving Street Fighter a 2.4% increase in porn from last month.
Marvel Comics is in sixth place with 13,155 images. 237 new explicit images were added during October, giving Marvel Comics a 1.8% increase in porn from last month.
Naruto is in seventh place with 11,471 images. 282 new explicit images were added during October, giving Naruto a 2.4% increase in porn from last month.
Sonic Team is in eighth place with 10,862 images. 226 new explicit images were added during October, giving Sonic Team a 2.1% increase in porn from last month.
Digimon is in ninth place with 10,234 images. 151 new explicit images were added during October, giving Digimon a 1.4% increase in porn from last month.

Here's an update on Rule 34 for the mane six:
Twilight Sparkle 
has 3,031 images. 245 explicit images were added during October, Giving her an 8.1% increase from last month.
Rainbow Dash 
has 2,770 images. 270 explicit images were added during October, Giving her a 9.7% increase from last month.
Pinkie Pie 
has 2,453 images. 218 explicit images were added during October, Giving her an 8.9% increase from last month.
Fluttershy :
has 2,270 images. 212 explicit images were added during October, Giving her a 9.3% increase from last month.
Rarity 
has 1,838 images. 161 explicit images were added during October, Giving her a 8.7% increase from last month.
Applejack 
has 1,712 images. 155 explicit images were added during October, Giving her a 9.1% increase from last month.

A special thank you to the 122 participates in my Election 2012 poll. Here's the final stats:

Third Party Candidate: 13 votes

According to this poll, if everyone "not voting" were to vote for Mitt Romney, they would still be a couple votes shy of Obama's numbers. It will be interesting to see how things play out tomorrow.
The American election wasn't the main purpose of this poll. What I really wanted to find out is which pony you'd like to have as a leader. Here are the results:

Luna was the clear winner here, although a fair number were happy with how Celestia runs things. I was quite surprised that Twilight didn't get more votes. After all, she's so organized! I guess it's appropriate that the embodiment of organization and harmony would get the same number of votes as the spirit of chaos and disharmony. It helps maintain balance. Now let's check out the Vice President!

Dang! Everyone really wants to see Applejack run for office. Seeing the results of this poll got me thinking. Applejack involved in politics would make for an awesome episode. "Ms. Applejack Goes to Canterlot." She could get a seat in the Equestrian Senate and have to deal with corruption and under the table deals. Filled with disgust, Applejack would chastise her fellow senators and encourage them to be honest politicians. Look to Jimmy Stewart for how to handle the situation.
I would love it if this became an actual episode.

When I started recording Rule 34 statistics in August, I didn't know what I would find. It amazes me how much new art is produced monthly in this fandom, both clean and explicit. I've never studied data that occurred when a new season was airing before. It will be interesting to see what next month's update will look like. Make your predictions now in the comments section! Most people that like MLP are bound to be liberals. College age, internet-dwelling, enjoys the sharing and tolerance message of MLP... yeah. Right there are quite a few liberal trends in one group xD
Seriously, guys? Luna tried to INSTATE ETERNAL NIGHT because she was JEALOUS. I realize she learned better, but still. Not exactly the best leader to have, even if she is cool. She's also way behind on modern Equestrian politics, considering she was GONE for 1000 years. All in all Celestia's done a pretty good job, if modern Equestria is any sign, even if she might've made a few mistakes.
As for VP, Applejack is the only sane one. Pinkie Pie might be a good adviser, using her Pinkie Sense to predict disasters, but she'd blow the federal budget on parties and never get work done. Fluttershy is rational, at least, but she'd crumple under any sort of pressure from the public or foreign leaders; she couldn't handle the stress. Rainbow Dash is too much of a procrastinator and she is very prideful; besides which, she isn't all that bright. Rarity would drain the treasury simultaneously pampering herself with a bunch of the money and giving away the rest of it. Applejack, though stubborn, has common sense and good leadership qualities. She's actually honest, hence her element, a trait widely seen as incredibly desirable in a politician. Finally, she empathizes with the common pony due to her lower/middle class agrarian background, which would form a fine balance with the elite, pampered, and urban style that both of the princesses are used to.

I do have a confession though. I personally feel that pony smut is ruining my sexual attraction for other humans. I have actually put off sex with my significant other so that I could jack it to ponies. No, I'm not proud. I'm still going to look at and read pony porn but I have decided to put a strict ban on personal self-pleasure while doing so. I do not want such incredibly hot, yet unreal images to put a dent in my actual sexual life. Damn you sexy ponies!

I voted for the Earth ponies. Out of the three vice presidents, Smartcookie (Applejack) seems like the one most likely to stand up to the president and speak common sense, even if her words are ignored. Clover the Clever and Private Pansy both seemed more willing to remain silent as their respective leaders ran things into the ground.

first time i ever saw a summary of MLP porn like this lol. as a fan of MLP since the first gen I gotta say the amount of 34 is mind blowing. my MLP 34 folder for pre FIM had 30 files (from 99 -2010) now its over 6600 files lol. (almost half my collection). I give it 5 years and I'm sure ponies will be the top tag on that site. I'm actually curious as just how much art (clop and clean) there is in this fandom right now. for only 2 years I'm sure there's close to 100,000 easy
I don't think there's any question that we'll see a spike (as in a sharp increase, not the dragon) in the fan art (and fan content in general, really) production rate during season 3. After all, it'll provide more canonical situations and characters for fan creators to play off of.
Also, if we assume that Touhou averages 1000 images a month and MLP averages 1900 images a month from now on, I estimate that MLP will overtake Touhou in around 14 months (and that's with generous rounding in Touhou's favor). I'd make similar calculations with Pokemon, but since time becomes a major factor there, I'd prefer to cross that bridge when we come to it.
