Crushric

Crushric, n. — A narcissistic masochist, a Southern gentleman, and snarky smartass. If you're looking for someone to disappoint you, he won't disappoint you.

Like a stallion terrified of having children, they pulled me out of retirement. I was the best Special Agent they had, which was saying a lot, because I'm about as effective at my job as a mime having a stroke, and only half as hilarious.

If you came to hear a story, I'm sorry to disappoint. I suspect this'll just end up as one big confession, really. Still, with enough wit, some Prussian ingenuity, a droll sense of humor, and wanton murder, I might just be able to survive.

Iron, Cold Iron · 7:22am Mar 30th, 2015

Gold is for the mistress — silver for the maid —
Copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade.

"But Iron — Cold Iron — is master of them all."
— Rudyard Kipling, "Cold Iron."

The title I believe you're looking for is Phoenix Fire, and as it would happen a book with that title was published in October of 2019. Not sure if it's our guy yet, but I'm leaving this here for you and anyone else like myself that might have remembered ol Crushric's storytelling abilities years later and decided to come looking.

I really wish I could remember the name of that book you once said you were publishing.

I'm missing an author in my life, that author is Crushric.

Saw the trailer for the Dark Tower movie. Never read any of the books, but some of the imagery/quotes still brought up nostalgia and a virtual fuckton of hype in me.

Thank you very much for that, you old dead bastard.
Godspeed, wherever you may be.

EDIT: Finally picked up the first volume; I couldn't get past the damned introduction and foreword without pausing to take a break and ruminate a bit.

Yes, I still blame you for that.

2322450 One of my top hard rock/metal bands of the past 20 years, a great sound mixed with awesome vocals, I was introduced to them in 2013 by a friend of my fathers and fell in love with their music.

2321871 After listening to some of those songs I agree, if Jericho were a film at least a couple of those songs would have be on the soundtrack, and I think the best end credit song would be a track written and performed by Volbeat specially for the film, something stylewise along the lines of Doc Holiday.
