(Note: This story is scheduled to release in weekly chapters throughout the month of December, 2016. Happy Hearth's Warming!)

With six days to go until Hearth's Warming, the bitter winds and barren branches of winter are held at bay by the seasonal tidings of joy that seem to flow forth from the land itself - infusing every rock, tree, and pony in Ponyville with a glowing warmth that no squall, even that from the ancient windigos, could ever hope to stamp out.

Amidst a backdrop of merriment, two Cutie Mark Crusaders search for the truth behind an absence in their ranks. In their mission to become whole again, they learn that they must always believe.

(This story is dedicated to anypony who needs a dose of positive thinking.)

On a very cosmopolitan evening in Canterlot, Fancy Pants swaggers through the quiet halls of his closest friend's villa. He hasn't yet gotten to the olive at the bottom of his martini glass, and his mind is wandering. It's not abnormal to cover for Fleur, and she for him when the soirees get rough, but something wasn't quite right about her most recent departure.

From behind a cracked bedroom door wafts the scent of cornstarch and cucumber. Intrigued, Fancy wanders on - into a world of precious emotion he never expected.

(A comic adaptation exists for this story! Check it out here!)

On foggy Manehattan nights, when when the clinging humidity can be seen clearly by the beams of streetlights, The Bluesmare's song rises from everywhere, drawing the soul inexorably to it.

One dirty white horse, on a errand of penance and mercy, gleams past the street-trotters at the witching hour. Following the blighted dirt of her shortened path, she commits herself to one final act of redemption, for good or for ill.

This is her brief story.

(The song, Goodnight, Somepony featured in this tale is an homage to the song Goodnight, My Someone from the Broadway production "The Music Man", originally written and composed by Robert Meredith Willson in 1957. The lyrics of the song in this story are intentionally different from the song upon which it is based.)

(Note: Shipshape's World is meant as a comical pony 'shipping' farce. One source of inspiration for this story was the card game Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder (TSSSF), by the lovely folks at Horrible People Games. As of this writing, I'm told neither Horrible People nor their horribly wonderful game are long for the world. I'll be sorry to see them go. Perhaps this story can hang around as a testament, but feel free to take this story about as seriously as you would take the game upon which it found inspiration.) --9/7/2015

"Shipshape, Shipshape, everypony needs a date..."

Shipshape isn't real. That's what everypony says.

Equestria is a land filled with history. Some stories are true. Some are legendary. Some are myths, and still others are mere pranks. Shipshape, the Matchmaker, is as much a tall tale as the Headless Horse - stare into a mirror, invoke his name five times, and you'll see an image of your very special somepony. Innocent playtime for giggling fillies or daring colts. To think any more of it is to invite a chuckle when you're young, and a condescending harumph when you're old enough to know better. There are some ponies however, who curse his name. The truth can set you free - but it can also crush your soul.

Some will win, and some will break even, but Sir Arthur Eddington's third rule applies - you can't quit the game.

Shipshape isn't real. But he knows you better than you know yourself.

Thanks to Seattle's Angels for their review of Quantum Vault!

Fleeing from a shattered future that never should have been, a mint-coated mare galloped into the Quantum Vault Accelerator...and vanished.

She awoke to find herself trapped in the ebb and flow of realities, facing mirror images that were not her own; and driven by those she had wronged to change history for the better. Her only guide on this journey is Hal, a pegasus from her own spacetime, who appears in the form of a hologram that only she can see and hear.

And so the minty mare finds herself vaulting from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that her next vault, will be the vault home...

(CROSSOVER NOTE: Savvy Ponies may have noticed that Quantum Vault is not ~exactly~ the same concept as Quantum Leap. It's meant to be more of an homage, though I've listed it as a 'crossover' due to the considerable, intentional similarities between the two. I wanted to have some freedom to put some original elements in the tale, and to keep things interesting, so readers can't just assume what will happen next based upon knowledge of Quantum Leap. I hope it's working out for everypony!)
