Yerok was once a feared demon of Hell's army. He was respected and revered for his ruthless efficiency on the battlefield. The demon fought for Hell, against the impossibly powerful armies of both Heaven and Earth, and always came out on top. Nothing could stop him... until the day he broke an ancient law of Hell.

Yerok was sealed away for his crime. Forced into a solitary prison in an unknown realm, he stayed there until his mind shattered, and continued to suffer alone. Then, one fateful day, two ponies stumbled upon his tomb. They mined through the wall of his prison and awoke him from his sightless, soundless abyss. Now, the lands of Equestria are at the mercy of one of Hell's greatest warriors... may God have mercy on their souls.

Vinyl has loved her roommate for years. Up until recently, she made very few attempts to show her emotions for them. Sadly, her feelings could not be returned. The result? An unfortunate funk for the wub-loving DJ.

With nowhere else to go, Vinyl heads to the one pony she has been able to confide in.

Jim Douglas has a problem. He's suffered, since birth, from a curse that was given to him by his father. He learns of a land, one filled with magic and possibly the means to cure his ailment. That land is Equestria. It is difficult to get there, but under the right conditions it is possible to enter the mystical world of ponies. Once there, Jim learns there are worse things in life to experience than curses.

This story was a random little idea that sprouted over the Halloween holiday. I know it might not be the thing for some readers, but I still felt the need to get it written and put out for anyone interested.

A few spoilers for the curious--> This is a werewolf story. Therefore, the Human tag has been placed as it's kiiind of mandatory for this odd little genre.

As of February 2020 story status is bumped out of Hiatus. I'm going to try to get more writing done, but don't expect chapters too often.

Chrysalis is back! Only this time, she's finally decided to try out the peaceful way to get what she wants. Though she still holds ire toward the student and friend of Twilight Sparkle, the Changeling Queen has to find the strength within herself to do what must be done for her subjects.

Silver Skies is the lucky diplomat that gets sent to speak with Queen Chrysalis. The day these two ponies meet, each masters of their masks, will be the day things change for the land of Equestria. Exactly how those changes affect the land, remains to be seen.

I started this little tale some time ago. It got set aside while I got absorbed into writing another story, but with the leak of the season 6 finale... oh, I just had to get working on this one again! So much creative urge just compelled me to write more! I hope you all enjoy.

Shadows Within the Light was my very first fic. Expect a degree of amateur writing. I have put this story on my list to rework it at a later date so that I can take what I've learned to make this story better. Until then, I hope you enjoy my little tale because it has been said that it's a hidden gem.
