This story is a sequel to CRISIS: Equestria - Divergence, Book 2

Seven years ago, Twilight Sparkle and her friends ventured to another world quite different from their own, where they made new friends, forged new relationships, and helped to overthrow and destroy a goddess of evil before returning home. Their lives have progressed since then, with Twilight becoming the alicorn princess who rules over all of Equestria, her friends at her side to help her.

When an experiment goes awry, she and her friends find themselves returning to that other world once again, which, like their own, has changed in that time, as their otherworldly friends have grown and made lives for themselves for better or worse. Their reunion brings on mixed feelings, as not everything is their friends' lives are what they seem.

But not all is well in this otherworld, as a dark force once thought defeated is making a return, and it will take everything our heroes have to triumph over evil.

This story is a sequel to CRISIS: Equestria - Divergence

Golden Dawn and her sisters have succeeded in sending Twilight Sparkle and her friends back to their home. Their father's plan to destroy a goddess of evil so that he could take her power for himself has also succeeded, and he has ascended to a higher plane of existence. Before leaving them behind in this mortal realm, he gave them a crucial task: undo the damage that he had done to the world; make the northern lands a better place.

The sisters' work is only just beginning, and they must now forge their own places in the world, grow beyond their status as altered clones of Twilight and her friends, and venture out from under their father's shadow. They must learn to make new friends, find love, and live their own lives.

But unbeknownst to them, a dark force slithers beneath their hooves, seeking to undo everything they've accomplished and to take vengeance upon those who have wronged it.

A mysterious portal appears in the Everfree Forest one afternoon, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends are sent to investigate. The portal transports them to another Equestria, one full of darkness and strife, where they struggle to survive while trying to make their way home, making new friends along the way and combating dangers as they go, all while under the watchful eye of a manipulative overlord who wants to use them for some nefarious purpose.

Hang on, that all sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it? That's the basic premise of the entire CRISIS-verse, right?

But something is different this time around, something which influences everything in ways you might not expect.

It's been twenty-one years since Twilight Sparkle and her friends visited the alternate world of Equestria-V, wherein their lives and the fate of the entire multiverse hung in the balance. Though things have changed at home since their return—including accepting their clones from that alternate world into their own—things have generally settled down, for the most part, and that adventure is now long behind them.

Except for Rarity, who left a piece of herself in that other world and still longs to go back, no matter how impossible that might seem. However, a spell gone awry gives her—as well as Apple Bloom and Flurry Heart—the opportunity to make things right, and to see the ramifications of things that have happened since Rarity was last in that other world.

In an alternate Equestria, the city of Hope's Point stands as a beacon of light and hope against the darkness and misery of the world around it, ruled over by the ever-watchful, keen-minded, and iron-hoofed Queen Blackburn.

But Blackburn wasn't always the queen of Hope's Point - she wasn't even its first ruler - and she wasn't always the hard-nosed mare with an eye for details. She was young once, too, just like everypony else, and just like them she had to make new friends, go to school, make mistakes, find love, and everything else that goes along with growing up, for better or worse, and that's not even counting her royal responsibilities.

Witness the rise of Blackburn, Princess of Hope's Point, as she becomes the mare - the queen - she was always meant to be, as well as the friends and enemies she makes along the way.

Takes place in the CRISIS-verse as a prequel to CRISIS: Equestria.
