The UNSC Hammerhead, a command ship that was based of the old "Pillar of Autumn" design, A.K.A, the Hacylon-Class Cruiser, leads a small fleet of ships in an attempt to keep the Covenent from obtaining a forerunner artifact of unknown power, and they get more than they bargained for in the process. Its up to a spartan and his growing team to bring peace back, and kick some Covenent ass in the process.
(note: i hope you enjoy reading, but you don't have to like it, its your opinion)
Great intro

Man, what are you smoking? This thing needs serious help.
2411173 Nooooooo, I meant the storyline, not the mistakes
Alright, I see quite a few errors in this fic.
*breaks out Halo knowledge*
Hacylon-Class Cruiser.
Marathon-Class Cruisers were much more powerful than Hacylons.
Because ODSTs don't exist anymore, apparently.
Halo 3 took place less than a year before Halo 4. Those weren't carried aboard the Infinity at the time.
There are still thousands of Smart AI's remaining at the end of Halo 4
There were no Beam Rifles in wide-spread among the UNSC. Any captured ones were sent immediately to ONI facilities for study.
I'm pretty sure that even in modern times, war trophies are illegal.
You don't realize how big the actual machines are, do you? Each one is about half-a-meter large. They aren't small.
Oh, hey. ODSTs still exist!
Greedy, much?
And probably get court martialed. Real smart, Ghostie.
ODSTs aren't cowards. They would do anything to best a Spartan.
What I get from that is that the Drop Pods are pulling parts of a temporary base with them. That makes no sense. At all.
2411668 sorry, i have very limited knowledge of the franchise, and i only really know what i can remember from the games, but still.
1: how many spartans do you remember jumped to the surface of planets from high orbit?
2: the hammer head was strong because it was given all the armments that the infinity had, but sized down, and weaker, which made it rather cluncky.
3: this ship is not the "Infinity", just a ship that is slightly on par with it, and who says that this spartan cant love the classics?
4: this AI was one of the smart ones that could possibly be on par with Cortana.
5: he totally didn't steal it....
6: would you like to try and have a spartan give up his stuff, without his permission, while he has a sword?
7: he has a belt, and who says that he packs lite?
8: they are actually a rather big part of his squad.
9: he is a spartan, with really weak armor, and has to rely on his shields and stealth for all of his protection, so he needs the over shield in case of a fire-fight
10: ok, i admit, i might have to tone down his anger, i should do that after this comment, and apply your help full info.
11: Ghost had a dam katana, and the ODST was unarmed, and ha no where to run.
12: ok, i do need to clear that up, but the bases are actually just going in behind the pods, so that the bases don't get smashed by the meteors.
2411173 give me a brake, i have to rely on chrome's spell check to check my spelling, seeing as how i don't have any friends who are bronys, or a proof reader.
2411368 thank you good sir/ madam, i'm glad someone looked past the flaws and just enjoyed the story

1) Quite a few, actually. All 30 members of Red Team in The Fall of Reach, 300 Spartan-3s in Ghosts of Onyx, among others.
2) Not plausible. A Hacylon is too small to be given a quarter of the Infinity's armaments.
3) I never said it was. I was saying that the equipment was still being used in 2553, and that the Infinity just didn't carry any of them. That's why there were none in Halo 4.
4) Cortana was just another Smart AI. She was just the most well known. Many others could do the exact same thing she could.
5) ONI would've confiscated it anyways.
6) It doesn't matter if he's a Spartan. Illegal is illegal.
7) You can't pack five half-meter machines on your belt. Especially when you're trying to move around in combat.
8) That was a joke, actually.
9) All Spartans are equipped with standard-issue armor playing an shielding. Permutations are all the same strength.
10) He did seem a bit angry...
11) Four ODSTs jumped John-117, knowing that they would lose, but they still did it anyways. ODSTs never pass up a chance to prove themselves.
12) But the pods would be crushed upon landing. They aren't exactly going slow...
2412137 the bases wernt going to land on the same spot as the pods, they just needed to be behind them during atmospheric entry
Your grammar needs work, and RaspingLeech was right about many of the details he pointed out, but this actually isn't too bad. I, for one, look forward to reading more of this story, although I do hope they're a little better than this first chapter

2412645 YES, JUST WHAT I NEED, THANK YOU!
2412378 i get better as i go, all i'm doing is trying to build a stable base frame to build around, and it gets a bit better in the next chapter.
New chapter! Hope you all enjoy it, and don't worry about that ODST, he'll be seen soon next chapter, and in a very odd location.
Not bad, def not warrant 10 down votes. I def enjoyed it so far, packed with action
2610114 thanks! and i really dont see why all the down votes, im mean, i've seen storys that go from, get to Equestria, to, and then they bucked in three paragraphs flat, and still get better rating then my story, which has grammer, and a bit of pacing.
I just about to read the other story, and you seamed familiar, now i know why, i hope you will continue this story too at some point as have the potential.
And it's just sad how many downvote they bombard you
3319095 don't worry, i plan on making two new stories( a one shot and a work in progress) and will update and upload all in one day, but homework keeps me from doing more then four hours a day on the stories, which is mostly spent thinking about what to write.
Oh crap.
Well crap the ODSTs are stone.
