After being defeated by Starlight Glimmer and running away, the ponies gave chase to try and find her. To try and lay low and recover, Chrysalis rests in a hidden cave in the wastelands.
This has unforeseen consequences.

An enjoyable first fic! Glad you've decided to take up the pen!

For a bit of constructive criticism, there were points where the tense switched between past and present tense, but it was still a fun read nonetheless!

although the story is cute...
Of course, I heard about the case when the Badger, who lost her own children, took up raising orphaned fox cubs. Still, I can't see any reasonable reason why Manticore would take care of Chrysalis. (Although one additional line about how Chrysalis was also disguised as a mathicore could fix all this.)
