It's not necessary.

One of Octavia's concerts go awry.

NOTE: sorta like a sequel to "Spin That S***, Vinyl!", but anyone can read this story.

No. I don't care how good you are, you cannot transpose from cello to guitar on the spot, not at performance level. The tuning is completely different. The fingerings are completely different. There is nothing about this that makes sense.

Sorry. I've never played either, so I wouldn't know.

1328721

Ah. Easy mistake to make if you play neither. I play both at a pretty good level, and I still have trouble transposing. Transposing on the fly?

Unless it's a caprice or a fugue, you can forget it.

1328735 Sir, there is a little thing called "suspension of disbelief." J

Just go with it and pretend that
"It's magic, I ain't gotta explain shit to ya."

No. Just no.

Imagine you work as a mechanic for your whole life, and then you have to read a story where someone replaces a carburetor with a blender.

That's basically what this is for a multi-instrumentalist.

I've never played in NST, though I should probably try at some point.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make with the video, though. It's obvious that you can transpose with practice (i.e. if you plan it out way ahead of time), and Gilbert does a lot of this. He plays a lot of harpsichord/organ works this way.

Last, I can only assume you're not a cellist; the mechanics of the two instruments are so incredibly different that there's no way a person could possibly play passably on their first try, whether the guitar was in NST or not.

Fun fact, I do play both. Sure the bow and pick don't have any similarities, but then again, how exactly would you play with hooves to begin with? And the video was just me living up to my name. And you do try NST, don't try and tune that high G on the first go, it will snap. Ease it into it.

Well, I usually tune low so that I can do a lot more tapping/bending (all I have is an accoustic atm).

So where's Octavia's cello, and more importantly why does she have such a short temper? :applejackunsure:

Still nice job, you should make a sequel where Octavia snaps at Vinyl. :rainbowlaugh:

Tons of shrugs and I don't know's where seen.

May I recommend two things? If so, with this sentence has a wrong usage of "where" you would want "were" or It should be written like this.

Way 1-Tons of shrugs and I don't knows were seen.

Way 2-Tons of shrugs and "I don't knows" were seen.

That's just my thoughts. You don't have to use that, but I couldn't help but notice that. This is optional if you are to change it, great if not that's alright it's not a necessity it's one of your first stories after all.
