I read a story called 'Rebuilding Natalie" a long time ago. It was about cancer as well, and it is still one of my favourites. And for some reason, (aside from the obvious one) your story reminds me of it.
Suddenly I feel the urge to write your story upon a different path. Dash's fight against cancer with her friends by her side... Which she she wins, of course- But not before a long hard fight...
GAH NO- I have enough stories on my plate- and this is yours not mine. Stupid overactive imagination.
Well, I read this feeling like:
"Well, Dashie's gonna die, prepare to cry."
When I finished, I had to clap. So I did, twice, at 11:30pm. I hope I didn't wake anyone, but this story deserved it. It captured the few one good thing cancer brings about: Hope/Pure joy.
