It's a little hard for me to see Discord as seeing himself as a relic that can't change with the times, since he's all about change. Perhaps, however, he's thinking he just doesn't fit in with his friends anymore, and he's talking about this instead to cover it up? Or perhaps he regrets that he couldn't change the past the way his friends change him? Hmmm. It's an interesting thing to speculate. Its an interesting enough story though! And he is still making little jokes. Come on, Discord. You know you don't really want to cut yourself off completely. And was he really just planning to stay in his dimension? Or move on to another world?
