"Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared." It's a series of six videos on youtube. It was made by independent film makers Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling. It's a combination of puppets and animation, and these videos are SO detailed. It was originally supposed to only be one video. But it blew up, so they decided to make more videos. They funded it through a kickstarter. The videos always have a cute catchy song, and make you think it's some foreign version of sesame street, but near the end of each video, it goes completely off the rails. There isn't much detail as to what is really going on as far as plot in these videos, so there are a LOT of theories out there. Check out the one by the film theorists on youtube. That's a good one. Anyway, one of the main points in these videos is that the calendar always says it's June 19th, which has been confirmed to be Father's Day in the videos. The videos, when they were being released online, were always released on June 19th. It has become so popular, it is even getting its own tv show.

the main trio of puppets don't actually officially have names. They are just known as "Red Guy, Yellow Guy, and Duck." Literally. Their names are never mentioned in the videos. So the names I use here are just fandom names.
All the props and puppets in those videos are all made by them. It's very impressive.
