It does drop the inhibitions, and make one generally a little more forgiving of the little things, but it's not a stimulant. That's why it's so dangerous to mix with a lot of med's, especially painkillers.

Heh... yeah, that's because the energy drink offsets the alcohol, which means you don't realize how completely wasted you are until they could use your circulatory system for a still.

It was just one of those things that stood out at me. I understand why the story is (intentionally) poorly written, especially the dialogue.
