Before the Mane Six begin their adventures in the Book of Disney itself, Twilight Sparkle narrates the beginning of The Disney Chronicles.

Sometimes, the most amazing moments in life happen when one least expects them. A moment of such when an ordinary day becomes extraordinary. A day fate decides the time is right for one such moment to finally happen. You may be wondering about what such day that may be or how it comes to be. I was there when it happened to me and my friends.

My name is Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship of the magical land of Equestria. Once upon a time, I was but an ordinary, regular, old unicorn under the tutelage of the Princess before me, my dear mentor and good friend: Celestia, Princess of the Sun. Under her guidance, I achieved many magical feats beyond which mere unicorns can only dream of accomplishing. And through her I realized all the magical feats in the world can never be enough, not until I truly embraced what makes Equestria truly great: Friendship.

Under her instruction, I left my home in Canterlot to start a new life in the tiny town called Ponyville. It was there where I, along with my faithful young assistant, met the most amazing group of ponies I never knew would prove so important to me. And together, we went on to achieve many remarkable feats. And through such feats, I eventually achieved my ultimate destiny: Becoming the new Princess of Equestria itself.

As Princess, it is my duty to spread the magic of friendship across the entire land. From the beginning it is my goal to maintain friendship between our three races: Earth ponies, Unicorns, and the Pegasi. But over the years, the mission expands upon the many other races that make up our beautiful landscape. Up until that one fateful day, never did I even imagine the need to spread and defend the magic of friendship into lands and universes beyond my own. Of course, not even a pony such as I can do this alone.

For what is a Princess without the aid of some great friends help spread the word? For at my side are the best of friends a pony can ask for: Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Spike. And together, we travel all across Equestria solving many friendship problems and dealing with the various monsters threatening the bond between our races. From malicious overlords to the misguided inhabitants of our land, we face every challenge before us and every time we stand victorious. For no challenge proves too great for either of us, no kingdom is too far to explore, and no moral dilemma proves too difficult to resolve. For together, every adventure is a life changing experience where we not only help those in need but ultimately we learn more about ourselves every day.

And like every adventure, each journey is but a single chapter in the ever-expanding story of life itself. A story consisting of a composition of hopes and dreams. Hopes constantly spinning for a bright, big, beautiful tomorrow and within each hope every dream is a reality… and sometimes even a reality feels like a dream.

Little did I know, on this one day, my friends and I face a new adventure beyond the borders of Equestria. An adventure made to change the very course of our lives for years to come. With a treasure trove of stories to pass down to the next generation, and the one after that. An adventure to cherish within the course of our very hearts…

Over the vast black emptiness of space, the only beacons of light are the very stars hanging over space. A collection of balls of gas illuminating the night with a series of lights, burning for millions of miles apart. The majority of which hovers through space until one such moment in time when all that gas builds so greatly that eventually those stars will explode. But on occasion, there is a very special star within the dark sky that carries something of great value.

Soaring past the other stars, one such rockets across the landscape. A single shooting star, traveling across space at a rapid pace. None can say where this shooting star comes from nor where its intended direction lies. But one thing is made abundantly clear in light of this star in question, it is not by any means under the norm.

Inside the very heart of this blinding radiance of energy, a strange object hovers in between. Not a meteorite nor any form of comet but instead the object within this shooting star is actually… a book. A book whose cover is crafted entirely out of the purest gold, its craftsmanship beyond the measure of any handmade material. And at the very core of the book’s cover is a shiny blue jewel glittering as brightly as all the stars it passes. A book in which only a single lock keeps all its contents together, all the secrets which no other being bears witness to or has the chance to discover.

There it soars across the sea of endless space, in constant motion across every known galaxy in the universe. It flies across the night, passing many planets and various other brightly lit stars across the current galaxy. This mysterious book revolves on as if it can soar across space forever. That is until one such planet in this galaxy appears in wake of this one book’s ongoing trail.

Far ahead of its course lies a single planet which at one point is a planet made entirely of vast oceans. Only over the course of several years, landscapes spread across its oceans great and small. On one very side of this planet, a single great continent sits in full view under the shining sun miles off its surface. A great continent where the mightiest of civilizations reside together, under the protection of a mighty and powerful force that retains the balance of this great nation. A continent in which the book itself rockets forth making its way to land and alter the very nature of this wondrous land like a destiny waiting to occur.

And that continent itself is none other than… Equestria…

I wanted to say thank you Dramamaster829 for helping me out with the prologue for The Disney Chronicles: The Golden Age Saga.

From the beginning, I wrote a small prologue and I couldn't submit it because it's not enough letters. But with Dramamaster829's help, he was able to write down the prologue based on my writing to make it more bigger than smaller. Thank you again, Dramamaster829.

From the beginning, after I read My Little Pony: The Disney Chronicles: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, I thought of something. What if there's prologue for the beginning of the story? Like before Twilight and her friends discovered the Book of Disney itself and started their adventures. That's where I came up with the idea, and Dinodisneylover1 was very pleased.

But to be honest with you, after I wrote a prologue for Dinodisneylover1's My Little Pony: The Disney Chronicles, it was too small and this whole beginning needs more than 1000 letters, and that's when I asked Dramamaster829 for his help. And we did it together, and I should be thanking him.
