I thought it was a sweet read. Sad of course for Rarity but she learned to let Spike move on and not try to meddle in his love life

I can feel for Rarity here. I always ship her and Spike together a lot and having her realize that her life feels empty without him made me tear up.

It might just be me, but some of the paragraphs remind me of some of my ideas in the Disney Chronicles.

Have a good day.

In some way, I can understand what both of these characters are going through.

When I was a kid, I used to have this insane crush on a girl from my elementary school days. We spent a lot of class time together, we played kickball together, and we were practically friends. She'd even come to my birthday parties at the house, and I even shared my first kiss with this girl. But... the more I think about it, she didn't really reciprocate my feelings the way I thought she did. That was further confirm when we went to different schools after elementary school, and we've changed so much. I eventually found out she started seeing someone, someone she says makes her happy. I was 'hurt', especially when that same guy would be the one, she ultimately marries... but because I was a good friend and I felt she should be free to make her own choices, I had no choice but to let her go unless I would risk meddling in one's own feelings.

At the same time, there have been girls in my life who have had a crush on me... a feeling that I wasn't really used to, as I am for the other way around. I've made a few mistakes too. If I had given some of those girls the time of day, maybe I would've liked them just the same... even if some of them I felt were just friends. I was not going to make that same mistake again with this one girl. Although I thought she was more 'cute' than 'beautiful', she was still willing to make time to do things with me when all of my other friends were preoccupied or at least she'd call me every so often when it wasn't entirely necessary. It was like that for a few years between 2018 to now... only because I was dealing with a major heartbreak at the time and wasn't in the mood for love. But then I decided... after a couple of failed tries with other girls... to give this one person a chance mainly because I felt there was never going to be 'anyone else'. And as it turned out... it did work out for me, at least right now. I even started calling her my girlfriend which was what I hadn't done years before.

At least this way... we're not rushing into any marriage even though I'm one year passed thirty. The important thing is that neither of us are alone. It's been... significantly better than prior.

Like I said in my original review of that episode:

"It sucks being in the receiving end, right, Rarity?" :moustache:

That ending does give Rares some hope, she just needs to play her cards right.

Hear me out: Ponies have herds, Griffons have prides, and Dragons have colonies.

Spike might just be open to the idea of forming such a thing, but for obvious reasons, Gabby is the “Lead female.” Sorry Rares, but Gabby earned that.

:raritystarry: Spike? Where's Gabby?
:moustache: She's around, Ya know Gabby's funny, nice, a bubbly personality but her beak is a deadly weapon . . .
:duck: Oh Spike
:moustache: That's not the worst of it... I'm allergic to feather mites
:duck: Come with me Spike, I've got the cure to all your problems
:moustache: Yee Ole Elvis 24 hour Wedding Chapel of Los Pegasus?
:facehoof:

Huk

The story could use an editor or, at least, Grammarly or similar to catch more glaring mistakes. Other than that, it was OK. But this:

"Oh, Spike. If only you know what romance is like, then you'd understand."

Darn... Rarity must be the most ignorant mare in the universe... :facehoof: The way she treated Spike here, she was asking to get a middle finger :unsuresweetie:.

A good story of showing how taking someone for granted can have far more consequence when they leave.

So what was Lauren Faust's tweet on the two?

Well, herding isn't in the show. Herding is a fan thing.

Obviously it’s not in the show, it’s meant for younger audiences.

This is a fan made story on a fan made site, so your logic falters.

Oh chill out.

"If only I had told him…how much he meant to me...and actually showed him I cared... I wish he’d knew, how much he…he really meant to me over…the…years…”

Lol, typical ladies. You love having your friend zone guy for attention and validation and only when they move on do you want them. This stuff happens everyday and when Spike slowly stops simping does her desire increase. You're better off just letting him go and get the guy you actually want, since ladies can always "do better".

Guys, let this be a lesson. Don't simp and work on your purpose. Don't reward women with your valuable time and attention when they didn't want you.

You’re trying to apply real life lessons to fanfiction…?

You’re getting upset over fanfic. Need I say more?

Don’t bother responding—I won’t care enough to acknowledge it.
