Overall, the writing in this chapter is a drastic improvement over the last. I have one point, however;
I would suggest describing what the engine looks like rather than telling us Hiro is a D51. Remember that the person reading might not be a railway enthusiast; in my take on these stories, I described the engine first, and then had them introduce what class they were (this was for the benefit of non-railway enthusiast readers).
