Nice twist. Took me a while to figure out what was going on but as alternate history goes, this could be fun. The story need a bit of work to be more fluid. Some more description of the scenes could be good too.

Yeah, I should probably edit for clarity at some point, but the lazy part of me is just like, 'you put a mystery tag on the story, you're fine.'
I was trying to do a structural parody of Jekyll and Hyde, if it helps, but I'm pretty sure that I overestimated the number of people who've read that story. Jekyll and Hyde is pretty dry, so I was like, 'I'll make the story more exciting!' and then forgot that I also needed to make things make sense.
