ERROR 404, PONY NOT FOUND

"Hey, guys, do you hear that squeaking noise?" Scootaloo asked. A strange noise had been following the crusaders all day, as if something needed to be oiled.

"Ah don't hear anything," Applebloom said as she stopped beside Scootaloo.

"I uhm, I have to go girls..." Sweetie Belle said stopping, "Rarity will be worrying about me."

"But it's only...." Scootaloo said looking at a clock, only to sigh when she saw Sweetie Belle running away, a small squeaking noise sounding as she ran, "2:00."

"She's been leavin' a lot lately," Applebloom sighed, "Ah wonder why..."

"Maybe we should investigate, we could get our cutie marks..." Scootaloo said thinking, "Might as well find out."

"Hmmmm, worth a shot," Applebloom said, "Where to?"

"The boutique I guess, we gotta be sneaky though," Scootaloo replied.

"Rarrrrrrityyy!" Sweetie yelled running into the boutique.

"Oh! Sweetie Belle, I was just looking for you! Are you ok? Did you get something spilled on you?" Rarity asked running over to her sister.

"No," Sweetie said, her voice becoming low and robotic, "My legs... They keep on squeaking."

"Sweetie, we've been over this, when they do that you have to recharge. Go sit for a minute and let me get this dress done then I'll help, ok?" Rarity said sighing.

"Fineeee," Sweetie said, her voice starting to sound more like a pony's voice.

The dress was soon completed and Rarity walked over, "Sorry about this Sweetums," Rarity said pressing a small button on the side of Sweetie's neck.

"MANUAL OVERRIDE," Sweetie yelled out, her voice growing low and robotic again, "DO YOU, "Rarity", WISH TO PROCEED?"

"Yes, begin recharging," Rarity replied, levitating a power plug and inserting it into a small hole in Sweetie's back.

Sweetie's eyes lit up, words began to flash across the eyes, "RECHARGING RECHARGING, PLEASE WAIT 1 HOUR BEFORE USING, "Sweetie Belle", AGAIN."

Rarity sighed getting back up, she loved Sweetie Belle but she was tired of having to recharge her little sister. She knew Sweetie Belle couldn't do it alone though. Rarity went back to double checking her dress, not noticing the two fillies outside.

"D-Did you just see that, Applebloom?" Scootaloo said, her eyes widening.

"Ah, uhmmmm.... What just happened?" Applebloom asked, looking away from the window.

"Is Sweetie a... a robot?" Scootaloo asked.

"E-Equestrian Robotics Inc...." Applebloom said quietly.

"What?" Scootaloo said turning around to her friend.

"Equestrian Robotics... It says it on the box," Applebloom said pointing to a white box in Rarity's garbage.

"Equestrian Robotics? What's that?" Scootaloo asked picking up the box.

"A place for robots?" Applebloom replied.

"Well duh, but where is it?" Scootaloo said.

"Hmmmm, well let's see, it says on the box... Uhmmmm, 1029 North Ponyville Street, Ponyville... HEY THAT'S HERE, IN PONYVILLE!" Applebloom gasped.

"No way," Scootaloo replied sarcastically, "Why don't we go on a little visit?"

Applebloom sighed, she didn't like prying into Sweetie's life, but this wasn't too bad... Was it?

"Okay, let's get a move on," Applebloom said, picking up the box.

The two fillies neared a large building on the outskirts of Ponyville, the two walked in, only to run into a tall, blue pegasus with a pencil as a cutie mark, light blue hair and a purple bow.

AHHHH! Oh! It's just two fillies!" The pegasus said smiling, "Hmmmm, what are two fillies doing here... Are you lost?"

"Actually no, we um, we found this box and we were wondering if you guys are the right company." Scootaloo said handing the box to the pegasus.

"Yep! This is an Equestrian Robotics Inc. building! Oh and I'm Sonic Spark! What can I do for you?" Sonic Spark said smiling.

"Well uh, this is mighty hard to explain, our friend, Sweetie Belle, seems to be... How should I put this? A robot." Applebloom said, feeling dumb.

"Ohhhhh! You mean the Sweetie-Bot 500, ya, that's our filly robot, she acts just like a normal filly! Programmed perfectly if I do say so myself!" Spark said, hovering above the two fillies.

"Well can our friend still be like others... Can she get a cutie mark?" Scootaloo asked.

"Of course she can! We program the robots to know what their special talent is, how they get the cutie mark though is up to them!" Spark said excitedly.

"So she can be just like us?" Applebloom asked, looking up at the pegasus.

"Of course! She's no different from anypony! She may be made of wires and bolts but she has a heart just like everybody else." Spark said smiling down at the two.

"Thank you Miss Spark! Thank you so much!" Scootaloo said grinning.

"No problem! I''m always here for those in need!" Spark said laughing. Just then a small explosion came from the back.

"OH CELESTIA WHAT HAPPENED NOW?!" Spark yelled, running into the back room.

"Maybe we should go..." Applebloom said with concern.

"Yaaaaa we should," Scootaloo said walking outside with Applebloom.

"Let's go to the boutique, we can visit Sweetie." Applebloom said pointing towards the boutique in the distance.

"RECHARGING COMPLETE, RECHARGING COMPLETE, PLEASE UNHOOK, "Sweetie Belle", FROM CHARGER," Sweetie Belle yelled.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Rarity said, rushing over to her sister, pulling the plug from her back.

Rarity flipped a switch on Sweetie's back and set her back up.

"RESTARTING, RESTARTING, Restarting," Sweetie said, her voice changing back to it's normal filly self.

"Oh good, you're all better!" Rarity said smiling as her sister walked around without squeaking.

"Thank you Rarity! I love you so much!" Sweetie Belle said, hugging her sister.

"Oh, your friends are here! Why don't you go answer the door," Rarity said smiling.

Sweetie Belle walked outside to her friends smiling, "Hey girls!"

"Sweetie, um, we sorta know you're a robot..." Scootaloo began.

"But don't worry! We still love ya and will always be there for ya!" Applebloom said as she hugged Sweetie smiling.

"What?! How did you find out?" Sweetie asked.

The two crusaders explained what happened, how they found out and how they met Sonic Spark.

"Oh... Well, do you guys still love me?" Sweetie asked, looking down at the ground.

"We would never hate you Sweetie, you're the best!" Scootaloo said, hugging Sweetie.

"Yep, we love ya no matter what Sweetie," Applebloom said, hugging Sweetie again.

"SET PHASERS TO HUG!" Sweetie yelled smiling and hugging her two friends.

Too fast paced for my liking. But a good idea. I have a feeling that this one chapter could be a whole story all its own spread across a lot of chapters. But that's just me. You get a thumb's up and a favorite.

This fic was also so that I could get new ideas, I tried to end it with a moral, maybe the fact that even if somebody is different you can still like them anyways... But hey, thanks for the feedback.

Cute. It explained a different idea, was true to the shows message, and had just the right amount of robot humor.

I think you were right to leave this short. A seperate story with the same setting might be nice but this worked.

To be frank, It was very fast-paced, and lacked conflict. But that isn't such a bad thing. Random stories like these sometimes need to be ridiculous, but it could have used some substance. Other than a couple run-on sentences, grammar and spelling was okay. The story was chock-full of robot humor, so plenty of laughs. The characters could have used more development, but since they aren't OC, it wasn't necessary.

All in all, a good read, this story will stay in my favs! Mustache for you!

This is what happens when you write fics in a hour

[uhhh]

You are good at packing a fairly developed story into a short piece. It also gets to the point fast.

The criticism: it's way too "talky", as in you rely too much on dialogue and don't spend enough time developing the setting around the characters. The conflict was also not very significant, but this is still good for writing in one hour. Good job!

This NEEDS a longer version. It's very good, and goes a long way towards explaining why Sweetie Belle, at least, can withstand the massive amounts of damage that always seem to befall the CMC whenever they attempt to get their Cutie Marks...
