First contact has been made, successfully, and the strange equine creature known as Twilight Sparkle had assured us that we would be welcome to cement relations with Earth with an embassy in Canterlot.

this is a really amazing chapter. i can see a ton of planing going in too this on just the planing side.
i think i remember what it was like to be a teenager think, it has been a lot of years.
grate righting team.
Some really heavy subjects raised in this chapter. Well written.
I've a question, but I don't know if it's for any of the cast: How wealthy is Twilight Velvet? Are they something like high nobility, that just live simply?
That makes it sound like she was already loaded; although I suppose she could have leveraged her possessions to keep expanding. Don't get me wrong, I understand that she is a very skilled mare of business, and I'm sure that she's not in hock to her hocks. (Heh.) The line just hit me as though someone has said, "I couldn't decide which of the six colours of Ferrari to get, so I bought on of each."
Nice chapter
11158465 I'll tell you what, I'll answer this in addition to any other questions next chapter.
You don't want to ask Cadance. She is too relentless on this kind of subject.
Your character development and world-building is just amazing.
I would honestly have more respect for you as an author if he really does end up putting in the effort to remain entirely monogamous.
Do ponies have silicone rubber? If not, that's a definite import.
Its chapters lie this that make me wonder if Starlights Fallout timeline was due to runaway puritanical fanatisism. AKA Kriket?
down to Tuson -- Tucson?
I haven't, but Goldit has. -- Goldie?
11159208 Thanks for those. The USA has too many shibboleths going on, I swear.

Just wait until you see small American towns with the same name as European cities, but the locals pronounce it differently.
11159769 I still struggle with Kansas and Arkansas.
Nothing like a mare in uniform, huh Philip?
11158690
Not sure about silicone but I'm pretty sure rubber on wheels is canon in major cities, like Manehatten. And you should also consider the environment. With enough bits, you can buy any level of realism since magic and alchemy are a thing.

I think it works best if you say that Equestria is generally 50 years behind earth when it comes to petroleum and petroleum drive products
11160976 And yet their chemical processing is at the point of making complex glues like those used for post-it notes.
11160979
When do you think 50 years ago was?
We had posted notes in the 1970s.
11160980 Yeah, but Equestria certainly seems to lack the industrial part of modern materials processing. It seems to replace a lot of such advanced processing and production with magic, which makes their tech hard to predict. And, yes, post-it notes were invented 45 years ago.
If we couldn't come up with a better mounting mount for stallions, I weep for Earths ingenuity.
11161603 We really haven't.

We don't have intelligent ponies to make one for, either.
Different brains, different glands...
It's rough for the mind of a being traveling between worlds. Glad to see Phillip worked out something sustainable.
Also, very happy for Saf.
To Sudden Turn, what do the other Wonderbolts think of your relationship? (Not that it's any of their business, of course.)
So Saf is having to give "the talk" to his dad. That's got to be hard on both of them.
