When a rare instance of respite presents itself, Princesses Celestia and Luna venture out of the castle for "quality sister bonding time," exploring the wintery wilderness behind Canterlot Mountain. Celestia's idea, not Luna's. It's been six months since her return from the moon, and tensions run high between the sisters. Naturally, it's Luna's fault--she has yet to speak of her time on the moon. Celestia wants to know the intimate details of her banishment while Luna would just as soon forget the whole thing. But now it seems that a serious conversation is imminent, sure to be full of half-truths and dodged questioning. Luna spends the first few minutes of their outing alone, preparing her fatigued mind for the ordeal to come. But little does she know that things are going to go another way entirely as Celestia emerges from the forest... Set between Seasons 3 and 4.

Thank you! I’m so glad you like it. I’m really trying hard to finish it! Your comment actually spurred me on to work on it several weeks back and I made a decent amount of progress. If I received more feedback, I think I would be able to finish this sooner. There’s no greater motivation than comments. I don’t mind the slow pace too horribly, though. It amazes me how much this story has developed in the last 18 months that I have been working on it. Every time I come back to it, previous mental blocks disappear and more and more of the story falls into place. Writing is a slow process, but it’s so fascinating.

Fun fact: I started writing this story with the hope of making it into a small print book--with pictures! Also, it's been my intention to make a comic adaption of it. I still hope to, and now that I've gotten this far I really think I will.
