This story is a sequel to Hospital Bed
A few months ago, Sunset had to face the torture of the boredom of a single hospital room in a lonely bed with nothing to do.
A few months later, now all of the Rainbooms have to suffer the same thing after quite a bad accident.
Sometimes, the company of friends isn't enough to free yourself from the inevitable suffering of being so unbelievably bored. Even if it's seven girls which all possess magical abilities. Still bored, and ain't nothing is gonna fix that.

No offense intended but was it a redwood tree that fell on the bus after they hit it? I slammed into a guardrail - driver's side - at 55 mph and my only injury was a moderate concussion.

Guardrails deform more than trees, so they absorb a lot more of the kinetic energy, keeping you safe
That and they have less mass than most trees, so the force of impact is greatly reduced
That said, this sounds more like a ski trip gone terribly wrong from the kind of injury and the wide distribution. A serious single column of impact (a tree) would not share the "love"
Hospital rooms are not this big in real life and given the impact forces I can only assume that Equestrian magic saved them, but otherwise the story is pretty spot on.
