The rain had lessened greatly by the time Twilight and Scootaloo reached the castle. No longer was it the downpour that made things difficult to see with lightning that shook the ground. Now it was more like a light drizzle against their coats. Twilight was thankful for this change since it made it much easier for her to find her way back to the castle. That and because Scootaloo was laying on her back, curled up into a ball.
For a moment, Twilight glanced back at the filly to see that her eyes were closed. Twilight could only imagine what it must have been like for her, lost in the storm like that and probably scared out of her mind. It must have left her drained, both physically and emotionally, because shortly after Twilight found her the filly began to nod off. Remembering what she had read from several books, the alicorn knew that the best thing she could do was to let her own body heat keep the filly warm as they made their way back to the castle.
She did, however, wish things were moving a bit faster. For some reason, she could feel herself becoming a bit lightheaded and dizzy. She tried to use her magic to teleport them back home only to have the spell fizzle out. Twilight could have used her wings to fly back except she wasn’t confident in her skills with a sleeping filly on her back. So that meant she had to do things the long way.
But now here they were at the castle entrance. Twilight could feel her lips moving to smile as she once again tried to use her magic to open the gates. Her head began to throb as she channeled her magic this time before fizzling out once again, much to her annoyance. Sighing in defeat, Twilight pushed the door open as hard as she could. As she did so, she found it odd that she was getting this much resistance. She had seen her friends opening these doors all the time without and difficulty. So why was it that it was taking all of her strength to move it several inches at a time?
With the door finally open, Twilight moved indoors. Before she could turn around to close the door, she spotted both Spike and the nurse rushing down a hall towards them. Both, the alicorn noticed, where looking at them with wide eyes.
“Twilight!” cried Spike as he ran over to her and hugged her leg. “You were gone so long that I thought I’d have to go looking for you! Or maybe even send a letter to Princess Celestia asking for a search party!”
“I’m,” began Twilight but stopped to cough several times. “I’m fine. And I found Scootaloo.” Twilight turned to look at the nurse while Spike moved to close the door. “Do you think she’ll be alright?”
Twilight watched as the nurse moved over to her and pressed a hoof against the filly’s head. “Her head’s a tad warm,” said the nurse before removing her hoof and looking at Twilight. “Normally, I’d suggest taking her back to the hospital. But I think we should keep the poor dear out of the cold and let her get some rest. If she’s not feeling any better in the morning, please bring her to us as quickly as you can. Also…are you feeling alright princess?”
“Hmm?” went Twilight, somewhat startled by this question. It was then that she noticed that the nurse was looking more than a little concerned as she stared at Twilight. Before the purple alicorn could say anything more the nurse had brought her hoof to Twilight’s forehead. The moment it made contact the nurse’s eyes widened in shock while pulling her hoof away quickly as though she thought a snake might strike her from Twilight’s mane.
“Princess,” gasped the nurse. “You’re burning up!”
“I thought she looked a little bit redder in the face,” said Spike as he appeared in Twilight’s vision. For a moment, she thought she saw him shoot a nasty look at Scootaloo. Twilight was about to say something when he looked back at her with concern written all over his face. “Let’s get you dried off and in bed.”
The next thing she knew, Twilight was being ushered up the stairs by both Spike and the nurse. With each step Twilight took, she could feel herself get a little weaker as well as a bit more disoriented. The world around her was turning fast enough for her to misplace several of her steps. If it wasn’t for the firm holds of the nurse and Spike, Twilight was sure that she would have slipped and fallen with Scootaloo in tow.
Soon the events before her began to blur. Twilight was vaguely aware that the nurse had noticed several cuts on her body. She was sure that the nurse was asking questions about them to which Twilight did her best to answer. Then, with a suddenness that was very alarming to the poor mare, Twilight found herself in the bathroom with just Spike who was drying her off. The princess asked where the nurse and Scootaloo were which seemed to alarm her dragon assistant. As he continued to dry her off he told her that nurse had taken Scootaloo to her room. Her eyelids became heavy while he spoke and she could feel her body becoming heavier. The next thing she knew was that she was cleaned off and in bed with an ice pack resting under her horn. She tried to speak again, but her voice refused to work this time. All she could do was look at her trusted assistant until sleep overtook her.
-x-
Scootaloo tossed about as she felt the light of the sun touch her face, refusing to wake up. The lure of sleep right now was just so intoxicating that she would welcome eternal night if it meant getting to sleep longer. It felt, however, that with each passing minute the sun was rising faster and brighter in order to rip her away from her comfort so that she could begin her day.
Slowly, Scootaloo opened her eyes as she surrendered to the call of day. As she settled into a sitting position she was, however, met with confusion. Why was she in her room in Twilight’s castle instead of the hospital’s room or on the road like she had planned? As she sat there the events of the previous night began to return to her. Scootaloo began to remember being out alone in the storm with nopony to help her until, like the one camping trip, Rainbow Dash saved her life. She remembered the talk they shared followed by seeing Twilight searching for her in the rain.
Once again, Scootaloo felt guilt wash over her as if she were back in the rain. Slowly, she pushed aside the covers before sliding out of the bed Twilight had provided her with. Gritting her teeth with this realization, Scootaloo began to walk around the room with her ears flat against her skull and head held low. Now the shame and guilt she had felt was made ten times worse as she was surrounded by the acts of kindness that were given to her.
Scootaloo stopped before looking over at the door. She knew that somewhere beyond that door was Twilight a well as the scolding of a lifetime. As much as Scootaloo wanted to wait here in order to put it off as long as ponily possible, maybe even using that time to work on her homework so she could get the tiniest bit on Twilight’s good side, she knew that wasn’t what she should do. Rainbow Dash had told her that she needed to talk with her sister. Heck, even if Rainbow Dash hadn’t said it Scootaloo knew it was the right thing to do. The longer she waited, the worse it would be for both of them.
So after taking a deep breath, Scootaloo made her way to the door. As she opened it Scootaloo was surprised to see that the door hadn’t been locked. Nor was there a spell in place to keep her in. It was odd, given how she had run out twice already, that Twilight would trust her not to do it a third time.
For a moment, Scootaloo just stared at the door as a frightening thought entered her head. What if Twilight no longer cared? What if, after last night, she had finally given up on Scootaloo? That she no longer cared if she ran away or not. If this had happened yesterday, it wouldn’t have given the filly pause for concern. Most likely she would have taken it as a sign to continue doing what she had been doing or even leaving when the weather was better. If this was true, did it mean there was no chance that she’d be able to make up with Twilight? Had she pushed away her family before ever getting the chance to be a family?
Scootaloo didn’t know how long she stood there, staring at the doorway with the same sense of foreboding as if it lead to a den of timberwolves. Eventually she summoned all of her courage and stepped out into the hall. As she walked, she kept telling herself that she was a brave filly and wouldn’t let herself give in to her fears. That Twilight wouldn’t do something like that. She went after her during the storm, same as Rainbow Dash. There was no way she would have brought her back here and then just not care. This had to be a sign of trust or something.
…Right?
Soon enough Scootaloo had made her way down the stairs and headed towards the kitchen. She figured that it would be the best place to start. Judging by the scent in the air Spike was at the very least there hard at work making everypony’s breakfast. The chances were good that Twilight would be there and, if she wasn’t, she could just ask the dragon if he knew.
As she entered the kitchen, Scootaloo looked about to see that the only other individual there was Spike. Said dragon was standing on a large stool in front of the stove with a wooden spoon in his claw. As the door closed behind her Spike looked up from the pot he had been stirring in surprise which quickly morphed into outright hate. So much so that Scootaloo actually took a step backwards in surprise. Seconds passed in silence before Spike snorted flames out of his nose and then turned back to his breakfast duty.
“What do you want?” he asked coldly without looking at her. “If it's breakfast you’re fending for yourself.”
“Ah, ok?” said Scootaloo who was slightly shocked by this treatment. “Actually, I was kind of hoping you knew where Twilight was?”
“In bed,” snapped Spike as he roughly reached for a bowl. His claws trembled as he began to pour what looked like porridge into the bowl while gritting his teeth the entire time. Once it had several scoopfuls in it, Spike all but slammed it onto the counter before speaking to her again. “She’s not feeling well so don’t bother her.”
“Not well?” echoed Scootaloo dumbly as she eyed Spike savagely slice up an apple. “You mean like she’s sick or-”
“Of course she’s sick!” yelled Spike, flinging whatever was left of the apple across the room. Frightened, Scootaloo stood there with her mouth hanging open as Spike jumped down from his stool to march towards her. “She was out in that storm, running around in a panic looking for YOU! Maybe it was the cold or maybe that cut she got became infected or maybe it was both. I don’t know! All I know is that she was burning up by the time she got back.”
“Spike,” Scootaloo managed to say, her voice cracking up a little as she did. The filly had never imagined something like this could have happened. Briefly, she wondered what might have happened if she had gone the right way in that storm and Rainbow Dash couldn’t help look for her. Would Twilight have continued to look for her in that weather until she collapsed, being left there in the rain until morning? The thought caused her eyes to moisten.
Slowly, she began to wonder how else her actions could have harmed those she cared about. What if Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle had found out somehow that Scootaloo had run away as well? They might have gone out into that storm looking for her. They could have also gotten sick. Or perhaps something worse could have happened to them. One horrifying example that came to mind was that mud puddle. They could have gotten stuck in it the same way she had before Rainbow Dash saved her. Or they could have fallen down Ghastly Gorge!
Spike, meanwhile, snorted green flames from his nostrils again before turning around to get Twilight’s breakfast. After grabbing it roughly, the dragon turned towards the door while giving Scootaloo the nastiest look he could muster as he stormed out of the kitchen. Scootaloo remained where she was as she heard the door open and close behind her.
Leaving her all alone.
It was a nice chapter.
Yeah, I agree, it was a bit shorter than usual. I was hoping for Twilight's parents would also come in this. :P
scoots you done goofed
Good chapter once more. Scootaloo sure will feel bad, but I’ve the feeling things will cool down when she talks with Twilight. No rush going back to the parents, don’t worry. I am eager for more Twilight / Scootaloo bonding.
Twilight is not going to be happy with Spike when she finds out about this.
Well I hope we don't wait too long after that pair of scenes.
Kinda disappointed that the Parents cliffhanger is gonna stay around longer. I mean we have no clue at all what the sitch there is.
I
8711817
More disappointed then upset I suspect.
Does anyone else think Spike is a bit OOC? Ah well, comes with reading a fanfic.
8711817
Yeah, she already knows she goofed. The fact Scoots was looking for Two says enough.
i dont know why, but is it just me or the fact that Spike is mad at someone for getting Twilight hurt the best thing in existance... it might just be me.
but i wouldnt blame him really, if i was in his scales, I too would be really mad to know that my mom got hurt looking for someone.
and that someone showing up and dosent realize that his/her actions have consequences.
8711817
8711842
While I completely agree with the both of you that Twilight isn't going to be happy with Spike's behavior, I can't say that it isn't unwarranted. Twilight means the world to Spike and Scootaloo sneaking out and hurting herself the first time clearly hurt Twilight... the second time when she actually ran away in the middle of a storm scared Twilight to the core and in the process of trying to find her little sister she's now rather ill. Spike's worried about Twilight and that fear and concern is being channeled into anger at who created the situation that caused Twilight to get sick on the first place.
8711894 I never said that Spike's actions weren't understandable or evenn somewhat justified, just that Twilight won't be happy with him. I'm sure they'll all figure it out sooner or later and they'll all get along again.
8711861
He does seem a bit out of character to me as well
8711931
I’d say he seems fine. Seeing a loved one start to lose their senses due to an illness can be terrifying, and he has seen Twilight make multiple sacrifices and take risks to try to show Scootaloo she cares.
Good character... I sincerely don't understand those that say Spike is Out of Character... How could Spike be when Twilight is ill because Scootaloo? Sure, he could be calm with time, but I think is normal
Looks intersting
8711861 8711931
It's all about family. Imagine being in Spike's position; effectively adopted into a family after being hatched by Twilight and raised as her younger brother (or even her son), the baby of the family at that. While Twilight does occasionally have times where she either ignores him or misinterprets things; she obviously cares about him, and he cares for her in turn by helping out with things she's not so good at doing. Yes, there is a degree of master/servant or wizard/familiar to this almost-a-family relationship, but it is not the dominant part of the interpersonal interaction.
Then, all of a sudden, big sister Twilight finds out she (and you) have another younger sister who has been put at a severe disadvantage by events and finances. Twilight begins pouring MASSIVE amounts of time, effort, and attention into trying to help this newfound sibling only to get repeatedly spurned and defied. The new baby sister breaks the rules multiple times and then goes and gets herself put in the hospital during one of her rebellious stunts, causing even more stress and emotional wear on Twilight...THEN SHE RUNS AWAY FROM THE HOSPITAL INTO A RAGING STORM and Twilight ends up so sick that she's having waking blackouts before finally falling asleep.
Then the little brat walks in on you while you're cooking up a nice warm, healthy breakfast for your sick big sister, she's not even sick at all, and she doesn't even look remotely sad about everything that's happened.
I think you'd be a little pissed off too. I'd act the same way if my niece pulled a stunt like this and got my little sister hurt or sick in the process. I'd go a fair bit further too since my niece is nearly eleven.
8711871 8711894 8711980
You people get it.
8711864
It has been mentioned several times in the series that Spike'sababy dragon. A child. So spike acting the way he did in this chapter is understandable.
Twilight got sick? Huh, you'd think that Alicorns would have higher immunity... then again, she was looking every which way for Scoots in a near blind panic, as well as giving body heat to Scoots after she found her, not to mention the cuts possibly getting infected. All that would wear on even the most durable of immune systems.
8712068 Stress is a factor as well.
8712042
These are all really good points and I agree that Spike doesn't feel OOC at all.
I would like to add that Spike could also be feeling jealous of all the sudden attention and effort that Scootaloo is getting from Twilight too, if only unconsciously.
Damn Spike, you need to calm down & look at a mirror cuz you done way worse to Twilight. Anyways, even though this was short & not revealing the aftermath of Twilight Velvet trying to return to Ponyville, this was still an excellent job well done.
This was a good chapter. I hope Twilight will realize that Spike is having issues as well and helps him as well. I do see him projecting his anger at himself over Scootaloo escaping onto Scootaloo for getting Twilight sick.
*clap clap clap* Great work. Bravo. Twilight is best Sister, Spike is best friend, and Scootaloo, well, you've got some apologizing to do. I love what you did with Spike here. Hopefully he'll be able to be integrated into the story more as time goes on.
Another great chapter. Looking forward to the next one. Keep up the good work!
Dreadnought

Sorry folks but I don't feel Spike is being OOC either. The show will likely never explore if he sees Twilight as a sister or mother, but if it is mother, then this does make a lot of sense.
Short but very well done. Loved it.
Keep up the good work my good man
Not going to continue the train on whether or nor Spike is OOC since it's already been covered (I happen to agree with 8711894 and 8712042).
That said, it seems that the conclusion jumping panic train seems to be genetic if Scootaloo's thoughts when she opens her bedroom door is anything to go by, though her case doesn't seem to be as bad as her big sister's.
8712068
8712071
Stress, and I think she was also looking in the Everfree for a bit? Who Knows what magically active viruses can be found in there that could knock down an Alicorn. Remember, Tatzlwurm venom/saliva(?) knocked out Discord, so there are diseases out there that can affect beings with enhanced constitutions...
8712263
Honestly, I think people are blowing the importance of Alicorns out of the water. While the fandom believes that they are super powerful, the show has proven that all they are are unicorns with wings and nothing more. Hell, we seen proof thanks to Starlight since she is more powerful than four unicorns that went to Celestia's school and smarter than three of them.
8712067
yet he also did the same thing back in season one. so also hypocritical.
8712278
which is the problem of the staff writers. THey should be that powerful considering they can do what takes a team of unicorns to do with the Sun and moon and them out of no where Starlight appears and is OP as hell. You expect Unicorn Twilight to be close since Element of magic and Sunset and Starlight to be High tier ones. but the simple fact Starlight could go toe to toe with alicorn Twilight and be even really annoyed me. For quite a while the staff writers have dissapointed me and I feel the fandom has much better writers in it.
8712289
Heck I think the real reason Starlight didn t go to Celestia's school was because then she would have become Celestia's pupil. It's getting to the point where I believe they are doing everything in their power to write Twilight out of the show by taking away everything we loved about her character and giving it to Starlight...another reason I hate her
8712278
8712289
You're also assuming that Twilight wasn't holding back while she and Starlight were having their spat...
Gimme a sec to find something- Here we go.
I imagine Starlight is about on the same tier as Twilight was before she became an Alicorn (Same as Sunset Shimmer). Also there's scattered evidence that Alicorns actually are able to draw on the power related to Why they're Alicorns; Cadance/Love, Luna/The Moon, Celestia/The Sun, Twilight/Friendship/Harmony. Now, Alicorns are nominally more powerful than Unicorns by several levels, but I imagine that when they draw on their "Source" That several levels turns into several Orders of Magnitude with no "In Between". It's how Celestia and Luna can raise the Sun and Moon by themselves when normally they're only somewhat more powerful than a particularly strong unicorn, how Cadance can create a dome-shield powerful enough to banish an entire army from just a drop of pure, true love after being starved and exhausted in a cavern for who knows how long, and how Twilight can overpower the combined magic of every magical being in Equestria (with the help of her friends, since Friendship/Harmony is her "Source". She's still acting as the fulcrum channeling all that power) after having all of her normal magic drained.
As for why Celestia didn't draw on the Power Of The Sun(tm) when she went Horn vs. Horn with Chrysalis, I imagine it's because she'd rather not turn the Canterhorn into a molten pile of slag.
8712322
That's just what some fans like to believe.
I disagree. Given everything that we know that's at stake it's hard to believe that Twilight wouldn't at least muster up more power. The argument that you are giving or at the very least sighting is an all for nothing approach. We don't get to see Twilight use any of her and intelligence that we have seen prior to this fight nor do we get to see her you lose more power. We just see Twilight get her flank handed to her over and over again so that the audience can experience more fanservice. As for your ideas on Celestia and Luna, that's again of to a fan to this side. It's hard to believe that Celestia would get her blank handed to her knowing what's at stake and not being able to muster up or at least match chrysalis. This is the thing that I'm trying to get at is that for all their talk of being more powerful stronger or anything else we can say, Alicorns have been shown to just be slightly better unicorns with wings. You can say that there's reasons for their power caps but to me it just comes off as the writer saying we don't want to use our brains. Or we have to write raise the steaks. All they're doing is showing over and over again that Alicorns are nothing special.
8712289
Maybe MLP should do what Star Trek did , open submission. I mean if it helped a Sci-Fi space exploration show remain fresh why not use it on an animated Slice of Life show. I mean the brony/pegasister comunity has very good writers
8712379
Then what's the point of alicorns in that case. Why not just have them all unicorns. There has to be some benefit to becoming one and a magic boost is a clear one.
The staff writers have clearly screw this up and it's annoying.
8712519
I agree. What's the point if they have no power up?
8712624
thus the writers on the staff have screwed up royal leaving us the fans to correct it.
8712379
I could go on a very long, very concise tangent on possible reasons why Twilight didn't muster up more power, as well as why there is no "In Between" zone for an Alicorn every-day life power level and when they're drawing on their Source, thus explaining why Celestia deciding that loosing to Chrysalis (Who was running a power high off of eating Shining Armor's love for at least a week, you know that same love that allowed Cadance to eject the entire changeling army from Canterlot with just a drop ) is preferable to turning Canterhorn into a pile of Slag, but I don't think you'd be interested in it since you already seem to have made up your mind and don't want to change it. The evidence for Alicorns having this variable power level with the huge gap in between "Normal Day to day" and "Empowered By Their Source" is in the Show Canon. It's scattered here and there, but if you're paying attention you start to see it more and more.
For now I say we simply agree to disagree, and I'll leave you to your bitterness over the writers trying to make Starlight more than a Strawmare.
8712775
So, let me get this straight. Because I put up a counter argument that makes sense and you can't find a reasonable argument for, it means I'm the one unwilling to see another point of view.
You are the one offering ZERO proof to your claims. I am using what we have seen and what I know about the characters. If Celestia cared about her subjects, she would have trained her flank off to find some way to rise above 'normal' levels. If Twilight cared about her friends and the present, why did she not drag Starlight to the ground with all of her might before fighting her like that? Or use her brain to look over the alterations to Starswirls spell so she could stop Starlight like that? The answer is the show wants to stomp out the idea that Twilight and alicorns are special. That a single uniron driven by petty obsession can reach higher levels of power than those who study magical out of pure joy and love. That everything that made Twilight special was worthless: that she wasn't a prodoegy but only slightly better than those around her. That Starlight was the true pony who deserved the Element of Magic as well as being the true Princess of Friendship. Shadow Play spat on the mane six and people like you are so quick to defend Starlight that you refuse to see it.
Though I was really, really, really, really hoping for an update on Twi's parents at last, I agree this chapter was needed, so to cover the aftermath and consequences of Scootaloo's actions. Bit disappointed in Spike's very heated and a bit less than restrained reaction and treatment to Scootaloo, but at the same time, I can very much understand it too. Where I in his claws, I'd probably bit a bit...frustrated...too.
Unfortunately, I fear it's not going to help Scootaloo work things out in the slightest, and I fear it'll only lead her to trying to cut her losses and running off again in dismay unless she and Twi can sit down and have a real heart-to-heart here very soon (and prove to Scootaloo that Spike's heated reaction isn't necessarily reflective of Twilight's thoughts and actions on the matter)...which is complicated with Twilight being bedridden with her illness and Spike potentially in the position of not wanting to let Scootaloo have that chance.
I hope it won't go anywhere near that far, though, and instead at least a step towards a more peaceful resolution is next. I have no fear of going deep into the drama, but there is still a time and a place for it, and I think such a thing happening so soon after the night previous's events would be overdoing it and just be poor timing in almost every way.
8711871
No, I'm totally with you on that word for word...as I mentioned all above. But I thought I'd give ya that show of support regardless.
8712386
Open submission can be a double-edged sword though. I've seen letting have fan input like that have killed show (or like works) or caused them to lose something of themselves in the process that was what made them so enjoyable in the first place. The writers for MLP know this, as I heard in an interview with them once that, when the brony community manifested themselves, they decided to, instead of pandering to that audience, to instead keep doing the show largely as they had started out doing it, for fear that if they didn't, it'd rob MLP of the appeal that got it that audience in the first place...and then where would we all be?
It's not something I'd personally be against myself, of course (in fact, I'd welcome it, for some of the same reasons), but I also recognize it's not something one should just rush recklessly into without some prior consideration and planning ahead, figuring out exactly just how such a thing should be done and managed.
Anyway, back to the story now...
8712849
You've pointed out several points where Starlight has shown her power, however as far as trying to counter my argument goes for the Other side, your argument pretty much boils down to "Lack of Proof equals Proof of Lack", which I outright reject due to the paradox of not being able to prove a negative. I'm not arguing Starlight's power, I'm arguing that Alicorns are more powerful circumstantially, and that simply "Training Themselves" to tone down their Upper tier power level is would be like trying to regulate the hoover dam reservoir when your only options are wither a garden hose or a flood-gate.
There is evidence to my claims, based off of my own analysis of the characters' personalities and what I've seen and come to understand of the nature of magic in the world of Equestria. I simply don't feel like putting in the effort to dredge it all up and compile it right now, since as I've said, you seem to have made up your mind on the issue. I've tried debating with people who have taken that stance in the past, and it only ended in a headache as they ignored everything I pointed out and cited.
Good. Day. Sir.
8712890
Which you have NO PROOF OF! Having a theory or a belief is not the same as having proof. Sure, they can move heavily bodies...but are unable to handle a storm. But please continue to act like a child throwing your hands over your ears and screaming that "I'm right because I say so".
I liked the chapter. Well done.
I think the characterizations where pretty good. And, I liked the bit of world building.
it well be a long time before spike trusts her again.
8713317
It will not be easy, but I am certain Twilight will undo the tension and share a group hug with both of them at the end.
And the unsurprising conclusion to the little foray happened - Twi is sick. Really hoping that the cut(s) she got won't infect, as that won't be pretty.
Spike is justified with his anger, but I think that he let his emotions run a little too wild... then again, he's technically still a kid, so there's no surprise there.
Plus Scoots really needs to see the consequences of what she's done.
Let's hope that this will actually let her see how much Twilight cares and push her in the right direction, because with the way her mental state is right now, I can see this pushing her into the completely wrong direction too.
this may be a short chapter but this is a good chapter at showing how every one feels.
8713795
your replacing forgiveness with return of trust, the two are rarely mutually exclusive
awesome chapter really felt the guilt and sorrow of scootaloo
In responding to this chapter I must remind myself that Scootaloo being this dense and reacting to her own story of what's going on instead of what's actually likely, is very realistic.
And there is that overly concerning aditute that we all know so well from Twilight. Makes you wonder how it took Scoots almost killing herself and Twilight getting sick to find that part of herself. Makes you wonder who the father is....kinda.
While uncalled for, I can understand how Spike can be hostile to Scoots. Her actions caused Twilight to be bedridden, so him being friendly off the get-go is highly unlikely. Not to mention while he mature for his age, he is still a baby dragon. And what would a child do to another kid who has hurt their guardian/caregiver? Yeah... here is hoping Twilight isn’t a complete mess and can put 2 and 2 together in time before something really bad happens.
