Rainbow Sonic

Prologue

One night outside cloudsdale hospital, Rainbow Blitz and Firefly had left said hospital and were headed home as newly made parents with their new born daughter, Rainbow Dash.

As they were flying back (with Rainbow Dash in Firefly's hooves), the couple couldn't help but feel proud of themselves for becoming parents.

"After all this time, we're finally parents. Can you believe Firefly?" Rainbow Blitz asked.

"Seeing how I have our foal in my hooves, I think I can definitely believe it." Firefly responded.

"The rush to the hospital may have been nerve racking, but it was definitely worth it.

"Speaking of which, I think you're getting out of shape."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh I just figured seeing how you were completely out of breath by the time you got us to the hospital." Firefly said with a smirk.

"Hey! In my defense, I was too busy taking care of you for the last few months I didn't get the chance to do my daily workout." Rainbow Blitz said back.

"Excuses, excuses." Firefly said before adding, "Come on Blitz, you know I'm only pulling your tail, but you are still out of shape."

"I just need to start my daily workout again and I'll back to my former glory." Rainbow Blitz said.

"That's when you start it, you have to help me take care of Rainbow Dash, and it'll be mouths, maybe a year or two. So that plan will have to be on hold until then."

"For now, let's just focus on getting home."

"That's if you can make it."

"Knock it off already."

After a few minutes of flying, the newly made family arrive outside of their home, ready to turn in for the night.

As Rainbow Blitz was about to open the door, he noticed Firefly had stopped and was looking upward.

"What are you looking at honey?" Rainbow Blitz asked.

"I thought I'd stargaze for a little bit before going inside." Firefly responded.

"Mind if I join ya?" Rainbow Blitz asked as he sat next to her.

"Go ahead," Firefly said, "and if you like, you can hold Rainbow Dash for a bit."

"Sure," Rainbow Blitz said as he carefully cradled her before saying, "speaking of which, we shouldn't be out here for too long, I want to have Dashie in her crib soon."

"Quiet down and look at the stars already."

With that said the two of them enjoyed the night sky for a couple of minutes before they desided to head inside already. Just as they where getting up, Firefly notices something in the sky that catches her attention.

"Hey honey, I think I see a blue star." Firefly said.

"Where?" Rainbow Blitz asked as he was trying to locate said star.

"There." Firefly responded as she pointed a hoove towards it.

After he finally spots it, Rainbow Blitz said, "Wow now that's a find."

They continued to look at the unusual star until Rainbow Blitz realizes something.

"Uh, is it me, or does is that star getting brighter?" He asked.

"I don't think it's getting brighter honey," Firefly responded, "I think it's getting closer!"

Firefly's suspicions were proven true when said "star" came closer and closer until it was right in front of them.

Due to how bright it was, the newly made parents where blinded and where forced to cover their eyes. Rainbow Blitz was smart enough to use his wing to cover Rainbow Dash so that the light wouldn't wake her up.

Once the light died down, Rainbow Blitz and Firefly took a look in front of them and were shocked at what they saw.

A small blue creature (who they could tell was only a baby) and seven colorful gems (that were beside the baby) had remained. They were amazed by how well cut the gems were, but their main focus was on the baby.

The baby was blue with peach arms and a peach belly, small hands and feet (from it's structure it could move around on two legs when it got older), what appeared to be quills on the back of it's head and two smaller ones on it's back, and it had emerald eyes.

(Imagine him without gloves and socks)

Once the baby noticed them, it was curious at first before it giggled and, in less than a second, went from sitting were it was to hugging one of Firefly's forehooves.

The duo were startled by the sudden movement but quickly recovered when they noticed how cute the baby was when it began nuzzling Firefly's leg. That's when Firefly decided to pick the baby up.

Carefully, Firefly placed her hooves around the baby and then lifted it up. Once Firefly had the baby against her chest, it began to nuzzle her once more before letting out a cute yawn and falling asleep in her grasp.

'Cuteness overload!' was all Rainbow Blitz could think as he watch this happen.

After regaining his composure, Rainbow Blitz said, "He's a cute one, isn't he?"

"He sure is, Blitz, he sure is." Firefly responded.

"Well what do we do now." Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well it's too late to go to the orphanage, and we can't let this little one be on his own, so I guess we're going to have to take care of him." Firefly responded .

"Are you sure Firefly? Do you really think we can take care of TWO bundles of joy?"

"Well of course! It seems the universe thinks so seeing how it sent this little one to us, so I don't see why not."

"I guess you have a point. Alright it's desided, we'll take care of him alongside Dashie. But let's keep the two separate for now, we'll see how they interact with each other tomorrow during the celebration for Dashie's birth."

"Ok, I'm up for that. Also what should we name this little one?" Firefly asked motioning to the baby in her hooves.

After thinking for a bit Rainbow Blitz said, "How about Rainbow Sonic?"

"Rainbow Sonic?"

"Why not? The little guy can already move pretty fast and I want him to have the Rainbow name as proof that he's part of the family."

After thinking about it, Firefly replied, "I guess that makes sense. Alright, Rainbow Sonic it is. I just hope everypony will accept him."

"Don't worry Firefly, I don't know why, but I have a feeling they will."

With that set, the parents of two now, headed inside their home to turn in for the night when they remembered the seven gems. They were amazed that the gems began to levitate on their own and wondered what would happen next.

Their answer came as Rainbow Sonic levitated out of Firefly's grasp and saw the gems beginning to circle around him. They were about to interfere when a bright flash interrupted their attempt.

When the flash died down, Rainbow Sonic remained, seemingly unaffected as he was slowly put back into Firefly's forehooves.

They decided to investigate what happened in the morning what had happened since they were both extremely tired and that they had to be ready for tomorrow's party.

With that they finally get inside their house and turned in for the night.

It's now late afternoon and the party is in full swing. Everypony was congratulating Rainbow Blitz and Firefly for becoming parents and were pleting them with questions about Rainbow Sonic.

"Aww, he's a bit odd looking but he's so cute!" said on one of the mares who arrived as she watched Firefly carry Rainbow Sonic.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Blitz was explaining to a group of stallions how they had received Rainbow Sonic and what had happened with the mysterious gems.

"...And the next thing we know the gems are gone and Rainbow Sonic slowly fell back into Firefly's forehooves." Rainbow Blitz said, finishing the story.

"Did you ever find out what happened to those gems?" asked one of the stallions.

"Sadly no. When we woke up this morning we tied to make Rainbow Sonic do something so that they can come back but nothing worked." Rainbow Blitz responded.

Before anymore questions could be asked, Firefly walked up and said, "Blitz get Rainbow Dash, it's time."

Knowing what that meant, Rainbow Blitz when to the playpen where Rainbow Dash was and took here out. Once Rainbow Blitz got everypony's attention, he and Firefly placed the baby/foal onto the floor (much to everypony's shock) and waited to see how they would interact with each other.

Once they noticed one another, the two babies began to slowly crawl towards each other. When she got close enough, Rainbow Dash reached out her hoof and touched Rainbow Sonic's hand. At this, the Rainbow Sonic held the hoof up, looking at Rainbow Dash with a smile. With a giggle, the couple’s daughter nuzzled him, which earned a cheer from everypony.

With that, everypony decided to let the two bundles of joy enjoy each other's presence and continued on with the party.

Rainbow Blitz was soon approached by one of the stallions."Congratulations on becoming the father of that baby. That’s going to be a difficult one in court huh?” asked the stallions before laughing.

"Thanks, and it sure will!" Rainbow Blitz laughing before saying, "Wait, what?"

Author's Note:

I figured I'd make a couple of stories with Sonic as an adopted brother of each of the mane 6 (except for Twilight since everything would be the same as the main story except Sonic isn't Prince), but let me know what you guys think.

not sure if someone has seen my idea, but I like to see this story now in a similar way then I meant it to happen.

while I don't like it that they often make the pony babys babies being able to do this and that that soon, it works better in the story to have them actually doing something.

I still need them to actually reac tto his speed in future chapters, the chapter itself looked nice.
Sometimes I like to think Sonic has a little advantage against Rainbow Dash, as much as I know some versions of him can do that "Sonic (Rain) Boom" without having to take the long route up and down to get more speed built up.
I actually want you not to change that, at least Rainbow Dashs one looks better and it is just a minor thing that I want him to be proud of, that he can be proud of I mean.

That's kind of nice actually, but maybe he should transform into Dark sonic for the right reasons or when pretty angry only, just because this transformation looks like he would need to fulfill some conditions for the transformation.
He has many to choose from however.

While it is not my favourite, the one from hundred rings or whatever could work in here, I think that form was even more speed base was it?, at least it looked like it and with Rainbow Dash I kind of like the idea that he is outmatching most things with his speed alone, which is maybe something many Villains and even the princesses would underestimate.

While I had my problems with another story from you too, here I would admit that i get the feelings, some downvotes come just because it'S sonic. However as long as you don't do what many others do and try to write 100 characters from his world and the ponies at the same time in every chapter, you are doing much better than them I guess.

No really, I think maybe you should actually only let this play out between him and the ponies, since he is a kid I suppose you were doing that anyway, but I wanted to mention it.

not sure if you understood that part the way I wanted you to understand it, but you got pretty much nearly everything 100% right.

Well sounds good so far then, I'm curious as what you are going to do with it, but I hope you let most of the interessting bonding moments in it. Show a few core points in his life growing up with Rainbow Dash parents, maybe them as being (4,7,10,14,16) or something before you let them meet the others. I would actually see how the meet with Twilight and everyone, not just skipping to a point where they already are best friends please.

I really love to see both of them probably annoying the others or impressing them.
I really love to see the first impressions they make on others.
