Nice read! I like how you actually followed the steps of a practical lab assignment! One thing that you might want to think about for future is to add dialouge. You're descriptions of the dialouge were fine in relaying the necessary information but in my opinion the format of constant description paragraphs can be bad for pacing. It's up to you of course, it is afterall your writing style :)
