This takes place 10-16 years before season 1.

Sunset Shimmer was Celestia's student before twilight. Celestia's official story is that Sunset wanted power and left to pursue it. But history is written by those who remain. And the truth of the matter had been lost, until recently. And it paints a very different picture. She didn't leave, she was banished!

Rated Teen because Implied adult problems.

I haven't read this, and likely will not, but you could really stand to re-do your story description. A story description should describe the story, give an idea about the charecters involved, what the central conflict is, and suggest something that hooks the reader.

And it should do this without going "hey I wrote this story and heres the things it's about."

Take a look at the descriptions for highly regarded stories on this site, and pay attention to how they do it. Or hell, look at the back covers of books or the blurbs of the kindle store. That's what you want to aim for.
