Twilight always loves a good problem. Actually, it would be more correct to say that Twilight always loves to solve a good problem. Problems left unsolved make Twilight act like a silly pony.

So today, Twilight attempts to-

A collection of short stories starring purple-smart and her lovely assistant. I don't claim to understand what I'm writing about. This is mainly due to the fact that many of the themes in each chapter pertain to topics that are far beyond my understanding. But that didn't stop me.

Please bolster my self-confidence with nice comments. It makes me feel delightful.

Bit confused on the reasoning behind Twilight's actions in the first chapter, but it is fun to read.
If I had to find an argument against it, it would be that Twilight would have to have gone pretty far-out insane to have not considered the possibility that repeated self-destruction could go wrong, and Princess Celestia should probably be a little more concerned about such a thing. Or at least be concerned about Twilight Sparkle trying to end a high percentage of Ponyville with a doomsday device. A high percentage of Ponyville which would likely include the residences of her friends. (But maybe not Fluttershy and Applejack, on the basis of them likely being near the edges.) Spike's generally got a sensible idea of how to act, so maybe this is leading up to something? My theory on this is that Celestia's just acting calm to keep Spike calm. (Not actually sure if this counts as spoilers or not. Line breaks omitted due to oddities with the tag.)
In any case, so far, so good, premise-dictated lack of sanity aside.

Yeah, it doesn't make too much sense. That's why I put a random tag. Basically, I hear about something interesting in science or philosophy and think of brainless ways to apply comedy to it. We'll chalk it up to dumb luck that the characters have some resemblance to their canon counterparts. Characterization is purely inconsequential.

Just a little 'harmless' fun. :)

Nice Story. But I have a question...

Did Twilight really die every time Spike heard an explosion? Or is there something I am missing with the whole 'princess of Good Fortune' thing Celestia mentioned?

Don't think about it too hard, mkaay. The Many Worlds Interpretation isn't as popular as it cousin the Copenhagen Interpretation.

Yes, please. I'd love some directions. :b

This is an.... Intriguing concept.

This one really isn't funny.

While some of this is amusing, the twist at the end that they don't actually control the sun and moon does not sit right with me. Especially since we have seen evidence specifically of that in the show on multiple occasions. The three biggest being:
1) when Nightmare Moon returns, the sun doesn't rise until she is defeated and Celestia returns,
2) while Celestia and Luna are captured by the black vines, both the sun and moon are simultaneously in the night sky,
and biggest of all
3) during Tirek's escape an attack, Twilight is given power over the sun and moon, which we see her attempt to move and struggle with.
Really, major plot point, simply pointing these out -- as practical and observable evidence as opposed to theory -- should have been sufficient enough to make Twilight realize the error in her conclusions.

Mmmokay. That does make sense. I don't really watch the show, so I don't know what is canon. A lot of the time I just end up looking things up.
Thanks tho. It's nice to know someone's putting more thought into the characters than I am. :b
