I've written about this before, but it's worth repeating here. I wrote the stories The Pegasa's Pizzeria and Eventide hoping to inspire others the way I was inspired by the Cupcakes story.
I haven't read Cupcakes personally, but I have heard readings of it on Youtube, as well as seen variations of the story animated. And, from those renditions, I came up with my own version of the story, with a lead-in and what I considered a proper conclusion, which is my fanfic Hey, Batter! Volume 1 Failure. And, after that, I produced my own opposite of that story, Hey, Batter! Volume 2 Success.
To those who, in this Eventide story, didn't like that I turned Twilight Sparkle into a villain and had her killed, I invite you to write an opposite to it. In Hey, Batter! Volume 2 Success, I chose a point in Pinkie Pie's story, in the video game Mormon completed, to influence her away from her course of destruction. In my fanfics, Eventide and The Pegasa's Pizzeria, I've provided a point where the ponies involved could be influenced away from their course of destruction. In the case of Eventide, one such possible crossroads could be Twilight's first contact with the tantabus, when he shows her the vision of the two Princesses. Those who accept my invitation and write an opposite to Eventide may want to encourage Twilight to pay a visit to the Princesses and get a confirmation of the message they seem to have sent her.
Your story doesn't have to be a science fiction story involving a video game. It can be whatever genre you want it to be, and can be a pony-and-her-human story, or it can be some other creature that comes to defend Twilight, maybe without her knowing about it. That's just one of many possibilities.
Also, while this story was written by a Mormon brony, the opposite story doesn't have to be based on Mormon beliefs. Whatever your beliefs are you may use to influence Twilight away from the course of destruction she follows in this story. And, whatever story you come up with I encourage you to write to me about it.
The same goes for the element bearer that becomes the villain and is killed in my fanfic, The Pegasa's Pizzeria.
Finally, since I consider Pinkie Pie my personal project, don't expect me to write a worst-case-scenario story about her. I've already done that with Hey, Batter! Volume 1 Failure. My next target for a worst-case-scenario story will be Applejack, who I may model after the Book of Mormon villain Amalikiah. I'm not sure what video game will inspire me concerning her, nor have I come up with a name yet. Whatever the case will be, you can expect me to plan to publish the climax chapter on Halloween of 2017.
