Christmas update, go!
New chapter. all the hype.
So, someone went to Twilight's Library(palace?) disguised as her and got something she'd hidden along with all her locking spells. Meanwhile in Canterlot, the real Twilight was contemplating just that. Going back to Ponyville to get those spells but deciding against it. So either this pony/would-be-villain had the most perfect timing. Or somehow, in some way, Twilight ordered someone to do what she was thinking. I don't know about that disguise though. Could be a changeling or any unicorn with knowledge of disguising spells.
And damn, I was really worried that Twilight was going to alter Luna's reactions/feelings on having been affected by Twilight like that. It definitly feels like Twilight is slipping deeper and deeper in corruption in this chapter, which worries me once more because as this chapter has shown, Luna hold NO power over Twilight whatsoever, moral compass or not. Twilight only needs to go too far 'once' and there might be no way back after that. If not just out of fear what everypony would think of her. With how badly Twilight can handle disappointment or rejection, she might actually go through with mind/memory alteration if it comes that far (and if she can get herself back from the corruption.)
Luna and/or Celestia definitly need a talk with Twilight about certain precautions and how ineffective they are.
And damn, if Trixie wasn't ordered to reveal any knowledge she holds that could be used against Twilight some day, I would swear she's up to something. Some of the things she said, and how she acted, made me feel like she's putting chess pieces into place, probing Twilight for information about her magic, and after that study session, she's probably the pony who understands Twilight's magic the best, maybe even better than Twilight. Trixie does have a knack for unraveling magic and looking at the structure, and she has the advantage of being able to look at it from an outside perspective. Still, currently she doesn't want to be let go (even if that's mostly the charm talking) and she is still charmed to not be able to plan against Twilight, so I don't know. Just Trixie's way of talking then?
And hurray, gagging with panties finally made an appearance, something I'd been hoping for since halfway the original FiMC fic. Glad you delivered and it was in such a sexy way, with it being used on the 'oh so powerful' Celestia.
Also, I guess we can now bury the TwiDance hatchet. She's made it clear that Cadance being with her brother is the end of it, and her moral compass would likely be a lot more corrupted for her to then make a move on Cadance anyway, like in her dream. Not sure how I feel about Twilight Velvet in her dream. If her dream isn't just unbridled passion/lust thrown everywhere affecting things that are symbols in her life, and actually subconcious desires that she holds, then she might as well be planning to take the entirety of Equestria as her Harem. She's already thinking about taking three ponies whom she had one sexual encounter with (Vinyl, Cheerilee and Diorite. Curiously leaving nurse Redheart out of it) and her dreams have shown her not caring about family holding her back from taking some of them. So yeah, if this dream is actually with meaning, Twilight's corruption might already be in progress, instead of just something that's still luring her to making the wrong decisions.
Interesting chapter, look forward to see more.
That dream sequence was incredible. Not to mention the way it leaked into reality. I eagerly await to see where this all leads.
1 year and 7 months.... ever since Chp 12 of FiMC and we get a teasing snippet of Pierced Princess nipples.
I liked the dream sequence, fooled me for a bit until it became apparent it was a dream. Took me 2 hours to read this... always worth it.
And "uh-oh" indeed.
I've read 16,897 words, I'm drunk, ...and I'm happy.
Always a pleasure to read your works Wintermist.
Oh, and the bit between Celestia and Luna was really great and hot. Celestia getting fucked in a submissive position, by someone who wouldn't even reply to her pleas ('if' she even ever wouldn't want this) and with Twilight pointing out just how much Celestia wants to be slutty, someone's slave and taken like this, that was grade A material.
Submissive Celestia is one of my most favourite things ever, and it only gets better when it's your Twilight pointing these things out. Your storyline and character development have put her in the perfect position/situation to make this amazing.
Having a dream about behaving a certain way and actually behaving that way are two different things. The question this dream raises is why is Twilight having them? Is this just her subconscious exploring certain fetishes? Or is the magic she's used somehow twisting her morality?
I agree that someone not Twilight has disguised herself and is going through Twilight's private things. This could mean Chrysalis is planning to make an appearance. This is one of the few canon foes that still poses a significant threat to Twilight. She can use magic, she's a skilled planner, and she can shapeshift and ferret out secret weaknesses.
Interestingly enough, provided this is a doppleganger and not Twilight herself, isn't this the first time we've heard the story from a perspective besides Twilight's? The narrative is focused on Spike's perspective. I wonder what this means?
This forces me to ask another question about the charm. If a changeling takes Twilight's form, and issues the command phrase to one of her charmed ponies, can she give instructions? Or does the charm itself somehow recognize the caster and work only for them?
7819737 If I recall correctly there is a distinct magical bond between the caster and the subject of the spell, that is that the subject under the spell's mind is linked to the caster's mind so a doppelganger wouldn't have that connection, more or less anyways.
As for my thought on this new Twilight, part of me want to say we just saw this universe's Sunset Shimmer. I mean she could know Spike, what with Twilight being in Celestia's school while Sunset was Celestia's prized pupil. And being the prized pupil she might also be aware of the mind control spell, after all she knew about the Elements of Harmony so she easily could have been snooping around, thought it might be difficult to explain why she didn't use the spell in the first place once she discovered it.
That being said, SnivGrits is probably correct since Chrysalis would have access to multiple forms and be aware of Spike, though only through a periphery. Also she is well acquainted with other forms of mind control (see Shining Armor) and might be on the look out for a more potent spell with much more direct results.
Oh also great chapter but I am a little disappointed we didn't get to see Twilight play with her toys. I mean it's Christmas after all.
Wow, that dream sequence!
So, during that whole scene with Celestia and Luna, Twilight used her magic successfully four times by my count. So, what happened there?
Look, if this story wants to veer off course and have Twilight make that dream sequence reality, I am not going to complain.
Merry Christmas, Wintermist! Please accept this gif an HD IRL Horse Boop as my humble gift:

Sex, plot development and magical spells, all in one chapter, oh my! That scene with Luna was great, I really loved how Twilight accidentally imposed her dream fantasy onto Luna while she was investigating the dream.
That sequence with the lock spell Twilight invented was pretty cool too. I'm really enjoying watching Twilight deal with her newly upgraded magical power.
That scene at the Library is worrying though. From the fact that Twilight did not go back to the Library to get those spells, it must have been some kind of Changeling or something. Having Changelings snooping around stealing Twilight's spells can't mean anything good, and I sure hope she's thoroughly hidden/destroyed all notes on the Charm. Having Changelings getting a hold of something like the Charm would be bad, bad news.
I wonder if Twilight is now immune to the current iterations of the Charm? After all, Luna and Celestia both required versions specially tailored to their signature; presumably Alicorn Twilight is now powerful enough to be similarly protected.

We've viewed this story from one other perspective prior to now, that being Applejack way back in the original fic. That was mostly for a sex scene though, this was a bit different and much more ominous.
7819960
Sex is one hell of a motivator.
When does she EVER?
You know just as well as I do that her ego and pride rival VEGETA'S.
Yeah, very poor choice of words.
A sensation I'm way too familiar with for my liking.
A, classroom?
Whoah!
Poor guy.
Reminds me of that one episode of Avengers Assemble where all the titular Avengers turned into Hulks, and the OG Hulk told them to treat everything they touched as if it was as fragile as an egg so as not to crush it.
Careful, Trixie.
I suppose she like Rarity in a sense, if she enters a room, she's going to make sure you damn well REMEMBER she walked through that door.
Sethisto HIGHLY disagrees.
Ooh, shiny!
Holy SHIT! Put THAT on the Gate of Tartarus, see if Tirek ever escapes again...
WELL then. Seems Twilight's dream is getting somewhat out of control...
That's one way of putting it, yes.
Oh that's evil.
Hope Luna will be able to stop her from turning into a new Nightmare Moon... without taking thed esire to hypnotize ponies away from her! Its WAY too hot to see Twilight do this, especially to Celestia and Luna....
and Cadance and Velvet....What a chapter, the sex, the intrigue, the character development.
Enthralled Luna is to die for. But the mystery of the second twilight has me on edge. Darn you Wintermist, writing such stories that have me always hungry for more!
Chapter 8: Anyone else think that Luna accepted the situation just a bit too easily? Especially since she appeared about to chastise Twilight in the dream.
7820841
I was thinking about that myself. I wonder, when Twilight said:
Could the phrase "I hope" actually have influenced Luna as if it was worded as a command? After all, the phrasing can be interpreted as "I want you to think this way", and thus would be enough for the Charm to act on it.
I don't think we'll ever find out for sure, because it's such a minor thing that I doubt Twilight will think to check.
7820841
Yep
What are the 'Seekers' Twilight mentioned in this chapter? I don't think they came up anywhere before in the fic.
7822547 While it may not be clear from context yet, those are the ponies Twilight talked about organising in the previous chapter to seek forgotten and misused magic.
Wow, I really love this story, keep up the fantastic writing!
7820023
It's not the notes on the spell itself, but...
Honestly, I almost feel bad for Chrysalis. She's going to end up in so many worlds of hurt when she discovers just how strong Twilight's magic is now.
you capitalized in.
A very fun chapter. Plot developments, sex developments, and just plain-old senselessly sensual imagery. Everything we love out of Wintermist.
7825365 You are the king of typo spotting.
very good update! I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I caught the purpose of Spike's scene so I guess I have an excuse to reread it. Oh well. :)
Accidental Iambic Pentameter.
Guys this ain't good
So we have chrysalis (someone who isn't to fond of the ponies) who now has a secret item that twilight tried to hide along with locking spells(I'm still not sure why this was taken). Now let's get straight to the worst case scenario, the secret item was the charm. Now chrisy has the charm and I'm sure she would love to try it out. Now even worse let's say that because all the changlins can cast magic that they can all use the charm as well now we have an army of changlings that all have an extremely powerful mind control spell. I'm not sure how you beat that. Chrisy can beat celestia twilight can be outnumbered along with that her friends can be turned against her. We also don't know if twilight can even cast the charm right now because she has to much magic. So yah the end could be very near. Welcome to doomsday
Impressive work, I'm quite enjoying this. I started reading the first one on Christmas, and finished this one a few days ago.
Lets see...
Love your take on Celestia, this is going to be funny as it goes along, she's having way too much fun with her new role
I adore what you've done with Trixie, in the show she's mostly just annoying, but you've fleshed her out and made her interesting, both by showing her actual skill, and hinting at the fact that there's a cause for her behavior, hopefully something Twilight can help her with
I'm trying to figure the characters out, are they morphs (furries basically), or umamimi (http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Kemonomimi) or something else entirely?
Things I would've done differently would've been a sit down between Twi, Celestia and Big Mac to settle things there, including the possibility of Celestia having to serve him for a night (and imagine if they fell in love...)
Also I would've had a four way sit down between the princesses and admitted the truth of the charm to Cadence, it'd be good to have someone untouched by it be aware of what's going on, think of it as the ultimate back up plan. I also imagine that that talk would've led to an interesting chat between Twi and Shining about her successful battle and the tactics she used
And of course that ending. Honestly I'd forgotten about the changelings and focused on the spell used by Twi and Trixie in Canterlot. Sure, it couldn't be Trixie or could it? She is quite possibly smart enough to get around the charm, but what about Sunset Shimmer or Starlight Glimmer? If its the changelings, this could get really interesting, can they imitate someone enough to full the spell? Twi's put some safeties in, but if the spell thinks its her, what could a changeling do?
Any how, looking forward to the rest of the story, and if you've any need for an proofreader or editor, I'd love to do it, and already do it for some non-MLP writers, just drop me a line.

I don't think it's Starlight or Sunset. Starlight is theoretically occupied with her town until interrupted, so there's no reason to think her path has diverged from canon yet, and Sunset would presumably only know to look for the element of magic at the moment. Neither would be in a position to know about the charm easily.
Changelings seem the logical answer. We already know they can shapeshift, and they are the obvious suspects for secretly detecting the charm. Maybe one of the victims was really a changeling (a guard or wonderbolt?) and the hive can detect it somehow. Or maybe they hypnotized a charmed pony and learned of it via interrogation.
Between the title and the dream, it paints a frightening picture of how far Twilight will fall.
7837123 If you track down the source image for FiMC, that's what shaped the design of the ponies in the story. So, humanoid, no fur, but coloured skin, elevated, pointed ears, hint of a muzzle, tail, plus wings or horn, as appropriate.
So, I've done some thinking as to what our mystery pony could've taken from the library(/castle?). I'm not sure if I recall Twilight ever recovering her notes on the commands that each of slaves were under. To make sure she didn't give them conflicting commands, or leave open loopholes. If this is what was hidden, then one could only imagine what a possible villainous pony could do with this list, if they found some way to replicate the charm, or at least, fool the charm into making a connection with the fake Twilight, thinking it's the real one (so the fake pony can actually give commands.)
Two wincests in one chapter, me gusta.
so, I'm a bit confused here, did twilight go get the books and what she was looking for, then went back to trixy, or was that changeling
I like you, Trixie.
Im imagining a chastity belt locked with this new vault spell.
Nice to see Spike not just blandly accepting it like it seemed before... but still he just doesn't know the truth.
Spike, YOU MORON!

What if it is someone who is casting an illusion spell to look and sound like Twilight. Just because there's a body double of Twilight doesn't necessarily have to implicate changeling as a suspect. In fact, such an assumption shows a prejudice against changelings based on previous encounters. I think the story would benefit differently if in fact it were not the changelings behind Twilight Two.
Personal theory, but I wonder if the mystery pony was Cadance? While yes, a changeling is the most likely answer (How very useful you are). Cadance would have knowledge of where Twilight normally keeps her secrets, and would have had a motive to investigate. With her talk with Shining in a future chapter, it's entirely possible that this is setting up a future conflict between the two.
