Bronyfordays

T

Sooner or later the inevitable will happen, Equus, planet of creatures thought to only be in mythology and fairy tails, will die. That day is approximately one month from now. The preparations are completed, three massive ships containing the inhabitants of the land known as Equestria, are ready to leave. Twilight and everyone she knows are grown up and have families of their own. Each one of them will remember Equestria, but are looking to the future. However, when they leave, something unpredictable happens. Meanwhile, a village of 200 humans live a life of mystery on a planet called Earth, nearly destroyed by a nuclear war. To their knowledge, they are one of the last remnants of humanity, and some of the only intelligent life forms left in the universe. Until three giant ships crash land in the ruins of what was once New York City.

I like it so far i hope to see how the ponies are going to react to the humans and so forth.

6891860

Shouldn't get any darker than this chapter was. I haven't really thought too far ahead yet, but there won't be any deaths or anything like that for the first few chapters.

6891841

Thanks, don't really wanna spoil anything, but them meeting each other will be in the next chapter or so. Depends on how many words I feel like putting in each chapter.

As if the Earth had magic in it or something. I know that sounds stupid, but while doing the satellite check, my dad noticed a strange anomaly present in the Earth's atmosphere. But then it was gone, just like that.

Goddammit!! We stole Equestria's magic. :facehoof: Welp.,..

Hmm..the thing that disturbed me was the whole "Celestia closed the borders"things. IT seems pretty cruel. Necessary, yes. I'm just gonna throw out my headcannon that she tossed them the blueprints while sshe did that. Sort of a make your own situation.

6892238

Don't know for sure, I have school and some other things going on. Hopefully the updates won't be too far apart.

6892665

We didn't actually steal their magic, but I won't tell you how it got there. That's a secret! Don't worry about the other races, I'll explain what's going on with them in the next chapter. Thanks for the feedback!

I think you changed Fluttershy 's husband. At first you said Green Leaf, then later, it was Sun Drop.
Or than that......more please!

6918024

Oh man! You are so right! Sorry about that, but thanks! :pinkiehappy:

6919233

If you're asking if I have one, then no I don't. I have heard that there's a place for getting one, but I don't know where that would be. Also, could you tell me some of the things I did wrong? It'd be helpful to know, thanks!

6919233

Thanks for the watch as well! Didn't even realize it until after I posted the comment. :pinkiehappy:

6919315 You did nothing bad just some spelling mistakes and some "flow" issue's . You need a follower so I followed.

6919371

Alright, thanks again!

....there's no more....that's the biggest issue. Also maybe a bit more detail? it seems like Twilight's side has more. Or it's late at night and I'm insane.:raritystarry:

...wait. This isn't going to just stop after they meet right? All the contact/alien fics I like do that.:fluttercry: Don't do that. No cancelling or going on hiatus for 3 years....:fluttercry::applecry:

....

6937612

Yeah, I feel like I rushed Jack's chapter a little bit. I've just been busy and stuff. Don't worry though, I will keep this going after they meet!

6937612 What about Stardust? Do you like that story?

6891841 Who or what is the thing in your avatar?

Does the Sci-Fi tag apply to what's happening on Earth, too?

That pony is an ass. He purposely gave only the worst side of the story. Not to mention nothing justifies genocide.:flutterrage:

7122934

You're right, though he will say why in a later chapter.

7122971

Glad you like it so far! Like I said, I will be doing another story. It won't be updated as often, unless people like it as much as you guys like this one. But for now, my main focus is this one. Thanks!

Meanwhile, a village of 200 humans live a life of mystery on a planet called Earth, nearly destroyed by a nuclear war

NUCLEAR WAR DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT. Even at a full scale nuclear exchange, the vast majority of Africa and South America would not be targets, so most of the people there would survive, even accounting for nuclear winter.

Why is it that every fourth-rate author will mindlessly assume that humanity is doomed to destroy itself? Why? :facehoof: Guess what, during the sixties, seventies, and eighties there were massive anti-nuclear protests. Massive as in demonstrations that had hundreds of thousands of people.

Now lets look at the Equestrians. Prior to the events of Heartswarming Eve, they were engaged in a three way war so brutal it actually summoned the Windgos. Even as their original homeland was being frozen solid, they continued to wage war. And when the survivors reached a new unspoiled homeland? They started it up again. Let's be honest with ourselves, ponies have a far greater tendency for self destruction then human ever have had.

7133233

Not gonna lie, your point about how some areas of the world not being affected is actually really valid. Thanks for the criticism, but please, leave the insults out of this.

7133470 . Just a little bit of research "Summary of consequences: U.S.-Russian war producing 150 million tons of smoke
•2600 U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear weapons on high-alert are launched (in 2 to 3 minutes) at targets in the U.S., Europe and Russia (and perhaps at other targets which are considered to have strategic value).
•Some fraction of the remaining 7600 deployed and operational U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear warheads/weapons are also launched and detonated in retaliation for the initial attacks.
•Hundreds of large cities in the U.S., Europe and Russia are engulfed in massive firestorms which burn urban areas of tens or hundreds of thousands of square miles/kilometers.
•150 million tons of smoke from nuclear fires rises above cloud level, into the stratosphere, where it quickly spreads around the world and forms a dense stratospheric cloud layer. The smoke will remain there for many years to block and absorb sunlight.
•The smoke blocks up to 70% of the sunlight from reaching the Earth's surface in the Northern Hemisphere, and up to 35% of the sunlight is also blocked in the Southern Hemisphere.
•In the absence of warming sunlight, surface temperatures on Earth become as cold or colder than they were 18,000 years ago at the height of the last Ice Age
•There would be rapid cooling of more than 20°C over large areas of North America and of more than 30°C over much of Eurasia, including all agricultural regions
•150 million tons of smoke in the stratosphere would cause minimum daily temperatures in the largest agricultural regions of the Northern Hemisphere to drop below freezing for 1 to 3 years. Nightly killing frosts would occur and prevent food from being grown.
•Average global precipitation would be reduced by 45% due to the prolonged cold.
•Growing seasons would be virtually eliminated for many years.
•Massive destruction of the protective ozone layer would also occur, allowing intense levels of dangerous UV light to penetrate the atmosphere and reach the surface of the Earth.
•Massive amounts of radioactive fallout would be generated and spread both locally and globally. The targeting of nuclear reactors would significantly increase fallout of long-lived isotopes.
•Gigantic ground-hugging clouds of toxic smoke would be released from the fires; enormous quantities of industrial chemicals would also enter the environment.
•It would be impossible for many living things to survive the extreme rapidity and degree of changes in temperature and precipitation, combined with drastic increases in UV light, massive radioactive fallout, and massive releases of toxins and industrial chemicals.
•Already stressed land and marine ecosystems would collapse.
•Unable to grow food, most humans would starve to death.
•A mass extinction event would occur, similar to what happened 65 million years ago, when the dinosaurs were wiped out following a large asteroid impact with Earth (70% of species became extinct, including all animals greater than 25 kilograms in weight).
•Even humans living in shelters equipped with many years worth of food, water, energy, and medical supplies would probably not survive in the hostile post-war environment." You are pert right about what would happen.

7301219

Wow...

All I did was look up to see if full scale nuclear war would cause mass extinction. I admit I probably should've looked more into it. But I'm just starting to write. Beginners make mistakes, you know? In the future, I'll try to research more. But anyway, thanks for all the help! Really appreciate it!

7301442 I did not meant to dis you. It was more or less a reply to the guy that did not know what he was talking about. You got it close.

7301485

I know you didn't dis me. I was just saying that I just think I need to do more researching if I wanna be a better author. So don't worry, you didn't upset me.
:pinkiehappy:

Will be waiting.

7411944

Yeah, sorry for the inconvenience, I just feel like I rushed it quite a lot. Hope you don't mind. Also I've been working on the other story I mentioned. If you don't like the new story that's okay. Anyway, thanks for all your support. It means a lot.

Take your time we(I) will still be here.

7427209

Thanks for understanding, I was worried how you guys would react.

The ponies have no right to judge. It's not their planet.

In any case, waiting to see. I hope Jack gets his gun back, and that the villagers aren't going to give into pony demands, especially not disarmament.

Please don't mistake me. I'm also hoping there isn't a war. But disarmament as a condition of peace, or worse surrender, is... not in my nature.

7445077

Right, ponies don't have a right to judge. Especially based on what one stranger said. That's why Twilight investigated.

Also don't worry the fight isn't gong to be between the ponies and humans. There's going to be some getting used to each other sure. Cough snobbish nobles cough. But they'll start to trust one another. But, there will be fighting. With who? That's a secret.

Anyways, thanks for reading and commenting!

P.S. Your profile pic and username are cool! I used to read tge Warriors series all the time. I gotta read some more, now that I think about it.

"Jack! You're arm!"

Wrong "your".

Hey, an entire chapter is hard work for the characters. They deserve a rest at the end. :rainbowlaugh:

7472284

Whoops, missed that!

Haha, true true. Do you like the story so far?

Found 2 mistakes:
Suddenly, Discord burst into tears, which shock me greatly.
*Shocked
But ttheships were still coming in way too hot!
