Merc Scar

Part time writer, full time Stalker. Stalking here and over there, please return to 100 Rads bar if found drunk off my ass.

T

Nightmare Moon has been banished once again by the Elements of Harmony, however this time she is not banished to the moon. Instead she arrives in the exclusion zone around Chernobyl, site of the greatest ecological disaster in recorded history.

Now she must learn to survive in one of the most inhospitable lands ever born or perish.

Alexei Sharov, unable to make a living in the outside world he has turned to the life of a stalker, a life where daily conflict is the means to survival. Like many stalkers he carves a living from hunting mutants and collecting artifacts – treasures spawned by the Zone worth their weight in gold.

Still being a rookie he has a way to go, but how will he fare when one of Equestria's most infamous villains comes crashing into his world.

The sheer amount of run-on sentences is disheartening for someone excited to see a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. crossover on this site.

Really, bud, get an editor to help you with punctuation. :applejackunsure:

In the pure vanilla games it's true cobblestone doesn't exist.
The Oblivion lost mod, which was made to implement bits and pieces that the release version of ShoC had cut and made the game closer to what GSC originally intended the game to be. such as more mutants, anomalies, areas, artifacts, and the blowout/emmision.

To my knowledge Oblivion Lost became the sort of "unofficial patch" mod that everyone was getting at the high time of it's existence, to make the game what it was to be.

Long spiel short - I'm sort of using that as a template for inspiration.

I have a chapter in progress, however I've had a long and arduous past couple of months with work, lack of sleep and other bullshit.
I have been trying to pull a new chapter out considering how long its been since I last updated it - working on the other fic and all. But it's been slow, with only little bits being added at the time. Rest assured this is the next thing on my agenda to be updated.

In the mean time, if your looking for an actually good Stalker fic, check out RoadRunneR.
He's made a full fic that earned wide popularity, and was making a sequel, until he up and disappeared.
(Sad theory explaining why is he may have been killed in the Paris attacks some time back - but anyone who follows him prays otherwise)

has better punctuation than the last S.T.A.L.K.E.R story i read.

“Radioactive fallout is a harmful and invisible form of energy that can have severe negative effects to any living thing, it still lingers from the 1986 disaster, but is also emitted by artifacts. Radiation itself kills off cells in the body, small doses can be managed and cured with anti-rads or certain artifacts. Higher doses can cause serious sickness and lead to death, only heavy doses of anti-rads and the strongest of anti-rad artifacts can save someone, even then the effects of radiation sickness may kill them,” Alexei parroted, remembering one of Wolf's lectures.

Not all radiation is like that ionizing radiation causes sickness even then it takes a high dosage of radiation in a short time to cause damage, you can be in a Uranium mine and be just fine (so long as you don't breathe in the dust or get any in your blood stream via open cut), you can even touch Uranium and be fine so long as it's in it's natural state (once again as long as you don't have any open cuts) you even HAVE radioactive elements inside you body and you take in some from food, water and the air we breathe.

“Hmpf, sounds like something straight out of a cartoon show."

That's funny because it's true.

nice can't wait for more soon:twilightsmile:

Hey, so how's that chapter been going? I think 5 years would definitely warrant a chapter or two.
