ColorWheel

I don't write much--I'm more of a visual artist--but I felt like it would be worth it to dip my toe in the pool that is the pony art and fiction community. Hi everybody! :)

Color Wheel is a respected pegasus artist living in Ponyville. When the Cutie Mark Crusaders ask to hear her story, she happily obliges--but she must change her tune when an ill-timed storm reveals her best-kept weakness, ruining her reputation as a strong and successful mare and sparking the unwelcome pity of her peers. What matters more--the things that have happened to you or the pony you've become for it?

This is definitely a solid story. The premise is interesting and it's got just enough of that special, profound thought to make it good. All in all, you have a fine work here. The only thing I noticed that was a bit off was dialogue formatting - missing a few opening quotes and two ponies speaking in a paragraph - but even that was minor and barely noticeable. Bravo.

A very nice story. I liked the way it ended, and the whole point of the story. I've always been confused with the names and cutie marks of ponies and their cutie marks (I mean, do ponies change their names when they find their special talent, or do their parents somehow predict it and name them after said talent?), and I think this was a great way of bringing it to light and showing that a cutie mark is not always a blessing.

But yeah, I'm rambling again. A great story :).

Great story! I remembered this then gave it a re-read. Worthwhile of my time :)

This is, by far, one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. It will be the first I have ever downloaded from this site to keep specially on my computer to read anytime. Not only that, I'm giving you my highest award - the Holy Muffin. It's an award I give to stories that are amazing and have no equal on this site. I do hope, somehow, that you decide to return and write more. Thank you so much for this beautiful piece of work.
Yours,
Spirit

I like your concept, and the execution here.
