I like how twilight and co have to face more than one human. Those one confused human in ponyland fics just don't cut it for me anymore.
Alloy canons glow white, just a very minor detail.
This looks interesting. Like, really interesting. I got into XCOM via ponies (thank Stardust), and this is looking like the kind of thing I like reading (I have a bit of a soft spot for language-barrier!HiE).
Resorting straight to mind control (earlier chapter) seems a bit risky, but it's not like anyone had any better options... Nice justification for not using instant-language spells, by the way.
