An Explosive Idea
“Do you not realize what pain you put me through!? I got angry in front of Twilight, the Princess of Friendship!!!”
Celestia was furious. After the incident with that inoperable jar last month, Celestia was more than determined to find out who had played such a cruel joke on her. She stared down at Luna, who stood there laughing like a hyena. Celestia didn’t share the feelings with Luna. She was more than pleased to banish her to the moon again, if it even came to that.
“Sister, dear, it was a harmless prank! Did I not make you laugh as I told you of my fun?”
Celestia had to consider this thought. Originally, she had laughed it off, but then she remembered the bad impression she had made on Twilight Sparkle. Then again, Luna was always playing pranks on the mane 6...she most likely didn’t even mean for the prank to get as far as Celestia.
“Luna, you have to stop with all the mindless pranks! It is getting out of hand. Look, that broken glass still rests where I threw it...can you not try, for at least one day, to refrain from pranking?”
Luna smirked, shaking her head.
“And what will happen if I do not?”
“Do you really want to find out?”
Now it was Celestia’s turn to smirk. That trick always worked on everypony. They were all scared of her, even Princess Luna, her younger sister.
“Fine. For one day, I won’t do annnny pranks. But after that, I get to prank you!”
Celestia sighed, agreeing to the terms. She stood up, intent on grabbing a slice of cake to enjoy before she went for her daily visit to Ponyville. Standing up, she found she was trapped, a thick wall of plastic wrap surrounding her throne.
“LUNA!!!”
Luna fell back laughing. Her sister hadn’t even noticed when she was wrapping it around, and now she was trapped inside of her little bubble. Celestia sighed, sitting back down on the seat.
“Get me some cake, Luna…”
As soon as her plot touched the seat, a loud, disgusting sound echoed across the room, across the hallways of the castle. Celestia jumped up, running face first into the wrap around her seat, a whoopee cushion lying flat on her chair. Her eyes turned fiery, her voice erupting to Luna.
“GO SIT IN THE CORNER AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!! “
Luna stared down, a little ashamed that she had fooled her sister so cleverly. She was angry now, and that made Luna feel sad. She had never made a pony this angry from one of her pranks. They usually just laughed with her.
Stopping to stare up into the face of her enraged sister, Luna slumped over to the corner of the room, sitting down in defeat.
For almost an hour, they sat there in silence, Celestia having poofed up some cake to enjoy as Luna stared at the blank wall. It was one of the most uneventful times of her life, right behind staying on the moon for 1,000 years. When Celestia felt that Luna had served her sentence, she stood up, tearing the plastic wrap with her horn. She put a hoof to her face, wondering why she hadn’t thought of that before.
“Alright, sister, I think you’ve learned your lesson about pranking Queen of the Sun. You can leave the corner now.”
Luna didn’t move. She just kept staring at the wall in the same position as she had entered the corner. It was as if she had been taken up by the wall, bringing her into a trance like it had. Celestia slowly stepped over to her, poking her head.
“Luna, I said you can get-”
Boom!
Luna had exploded into a thousand shreds of confetti. Celestia jumped back, screaming like there was no tomorrow. Luna was laying all over the floor in confetti.
“Sister!!! What in Equestria!?”
Celestia gathered up as many pieces of her sister as she could, bunching them up and placing them in front of her. Her horn glowed, the magic surging through it. The confetti shreds lit up, hovering into the air and quickly transforming.
When the spell was finished there stood, quite poorly, a paper-Mache Luna piñata. Tears welled up in Celestia’s eyes. She felt as if she was to blame. She had yelled at her sister and put her in the corner, and then she had probably exploded from boredom.
Celestia stood up, her tears falling to the ground. “I am sorry, my beloved, for doing this to you. I will avenge you, and cause to myself the same pain as I have caused you.”
Celestia sat down, her face buried into the corner of the walls. She sat there and stared, the wall becoming a fuzzy mass to her expressionless eyes. The whole time she was in the corner, her tears wet the floor. She was going to explode, and Twilight was going to take over Equestria. It made perfect sense. Celestia would never live without her sister.
She felt almost read to give up on this. Celestia had been sitting in the same corner for the better half of three hours, and not a single thing had happened to her. It felt hopeless. Just as she was about to get up, she heard a giggling behind her. She instantly recognized the voice and her face went red again.
With an angry expression, Celestia turned around to face the pony who stood laughing in the corner. All she saw was Luna, her eyes welling with joyous tears.
“You totally fell for my piñata trick, sister! Ha-ha, I fooled you again!”
Celestia didn’t even care anymore. She stood up, walking out of the room quietly. Luna was confused. Her sister had not yelled at her, nor laughed with her. It was odd for a Princess like Celestia to take a joke lightly.
“AHA! GOTCHA!” Celestia jumped out from behind Luna, who proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs.
“I. Pranked. You!”
This time it was Luna’s turn to scowl. Her older sister had prankedher, the best prankster in all of Equestria! With a smile on her face, Luna said, “Good job, sister. I must give you credit for that. But just one thing…”
Celestia was happy. Her sister had credited her for a weak prank like that. Her voice went back to its cheery self. “Yes, Luna, what can I do for you?”
Luna floated a cherry jar up to Celestia’s face. “Can you help me open this jar?”

Goodness, I really enjoyed this and the other short story you wrote, they were spectacular for an early morning read! You've got a great and quick writing style, and I really enjoyed them both. One quick thing; the title, "An Explosove" idea, slight typo Wizard. Don't want you to miss that, it's little things like typo's that get some people to be over critical.
