Canst thou. Well, I'm not an expert, but I can say for sure that it isn't canist thow.
Singular informal:
Subject: Thou art here. - You are here.
Object: He gave it to thee. - He gave it to you.
Funny that due to usage of those to address the God in the Bible translations these archaic informal forms started to be assumed formal over time even though they were used specifically to make concept of God look more approachable.
Plural and formal forms are "ye" and "you" respectively. So, "you" already existed back then but had significantly smaller scope.
And then there's thy and thine. Those are possessive forms of "you" and mean "your" and "yours" respectively. Beside that "thine" could replace "thy" before vowel sounds, but rules related to all forms of "you" were occasionally broken in one way or another. So "thy sword", but "thine eyes". "Thy power", but "thine is the power".
BTW, considering the nature of the lessons the chapter title should've used "normalcy" instead of "normality". Those are the same word, but "normality" is older and by some considered the only proper form. Thus normalcy it is. XD
