S01E15 Feeling Pinkie Keen

Twilight glanced back down at the advancing hydra. "Ugh, he'll be up here in no time! Quick, one at a time, cross!"

Running up to the edge of the cliff, Spike stopped and hesitated. "Uh, do you know any spells for turning a hydra into a mouse?"

"No." Twilight shot him a look.

"How about a squirrel?"

"N— Wait... I do!" Twilight stared the hydra down and grinned, firing up her horn.

Everypony watched, mouths hanging open, as Twilight did her magic.

A moment later, an irate, four-headed squirrel paused in its charge toward them. It looked down at itself – with three heads – while also staring at Twilight with widened eyes.

"There." Twilight turned to her friends. "No problem."

Pinkie gasped. "Oh my gosh! That was it!"

"Huh?" Twilight turned to look at her. "That was what?"

"That was the doozy! And what a doozy of a spell it was!" Pinkie hopped away, singing wordlessly to herself.

Everyone else just stared at her, watching her go.

So, Twilight never comes to believe Pinkie Pie? Or did she believe her immediately and you just didn't bother writing about it?

This reminds me of a scene from Fallout Equestria, where it's implied that one of the alicorns had asked the Goddess for a spell to turn a dragon into a mouse, and when the Goddess didn't have one, the alicorn kept asking for spells to turn the dragon into other small animals.

5078767 I had forgotten about this scene when I read Follout Equestria which may have lead to me misunderstanding it, but I thought the Goddess did not have the spell, and the alicorn was bragging about making it herself. There were a few other scenes where dialogue from the show seemed to repeat itself. Spike even lampshaded it once.

That hydra had four heads. Do you know what that means? It means someone did not figure out that cutting its head off does not work even after doing it three times. And then they were eaten.

Will the Hydra/Squirrel keep the powers of a hydra while gaining the powers of squirrel? Like will it be able to grow two heads every time someone cuts one off and will it be able to collect nuts for the winter?

Not everything has to have "pony" in front of it.

Wow, I didn't expect it to get that far... Next episode! Sonic Rainboom! Fluttershy succeeds at cheering giving Dashie the confidence to complete the sonic rainboom without needing to rescue Rares. In fact Twilight used the cloud walking spell first instead of the wings. If Rarity does get wings she is the humblest of spectators and doesn't join the competition allowing Dashie to fly without hindrance... Oh! Or Pinkie sense detect Rarity's fall before it happens so Twilight can rescue her with OP teleports...

I think I'll go with the first one as my final answer. Fluttershy succeeds at cheering.

Yeah... I'd hope most people could figure out that if something grows two appendages when you cut one off, you should stop cutting off appendages.
Or maybe the hydra would cut off its own head so it could have more heads?

Oh yes, and that four-headed hydra-squirrel most definitely would be able to regrow heads and collect lots of nuts for winter.
