I haven't seen anything like this before. Structure is nice, story doesn't bring anything new, but how could it at this point? Continue.

Ah! Beat me to it! I was thinking about making a Phoenix story. Nice to see someone else is taking the story element to new heights.

364592 The structure was the hardest part since, yeah, it wasn't the average fanfic. From here I'm not sure I can go any further with the same structure so it'd likely change to something from the perspective of Celestia.

366022 I'm sure the episode at the time (Dragon Quest) inspired plenty of phoenix fanfics. I had actually just finished this fic before the episode since it was based on the firebird fairy tale I had to write for my Russian Fairy Tales class. I saw the episode and was like "Hmm.. perfect I guess". I agree with you that is does seem a bit short and rushed throughout most of it, but as far as a pure story element goes you can't go too far with it before people start to lose interest at the incessant details.

366417 As a side note, what I'm REALLY surprised about, is that people haven't written a truly bleak Windigo story. I'm not that good myself, but maybe you might want to give it a try.

367116 Hmm... challenge accepted. One of my stories started out with a Windigo main story but it quickly evolved after I merged it with another one of my fics. Maybe I'll try again with more of an emphasis on the Windigoes.
