3773256 I guess I figured the island was at a great enough distance that she'd need a chariot to get to the island from Ponyville and back before she became exhausted.
Also, I figured she wouldn't want to fly during a lightning storm.
3775813 if she got tired she could just rest on a cloud. she is simply not the strongest of fliers, not devoid of pegasus magic.

3776153 least you are taking it well. last guy i questioned some logic to his decisions he just got pissed off........
then again his problem was far larger tahn having fluttershy stranded. had an oc he made murder Twilight, and somehow the oc did not get immediately caught and or raped to death with a fiery sword by Celestia. worse is that, A, twilight would have likely panicked and released a ridiculous amount of energy and escaped, and B, the oc was already known as being evil and of ill will towards celestia and was IN HER HOUSE when he did the deed............
his reasoning was no reasoning at all. he made this oc luna's son.......... that would not be enough to protect him from ivnestigation consdiering we are talking about the murder of someone who is both a part of the elements of harmony AND all but a daughter to Celestia.................... the sotry relies on all the characters being idiots except for the oc, who is sitll an idiot just less so.

3776420 especialyl when ponies are involved. it might be easier to trap the likes of Aj on this island, but her character would probably have a thicker hide than fluttershy in light of all of this madness.

I do have plans for a sequel (where we find out the identity of the corpse pony) but I don't know when I'll get around to writing it. I named the story after the fan-made flash game Flutter Island, but the story's not related to the game. I got the general plot idea from the movie Shutter Island but it's not supposed to be the exact same story.
