Sleep Sonata

Twitter: @DandyEcho, twitch: Twitch.tv/Dandyecho writing is slow, math is hard. Isn't this world great?

Thestrals, known colloquially as 'Bat Ponies', have deep roots in Equestria. However, before they became fully integrated into our own society, they dwelled in a mysterious land, not known to normal ponies, known as Nocturna. Though it's history is brief, and often tumultuous, knowing the history of this lost land it is nonetheless vital to understanding our current state of affairs.
Before Reading, I ask that you first go back to Legacy and Nocturna Eternal. These are essential to understanding where this history ultimately leads.

I've noticed an interesting trend with this story. It's been up in various groups for less than a month, and it already has more views than my other stories that have been up for twice as long, and in fact stories this material is based off of. I'd like to know if you guys really like this, so I can hopefully pump out more chapters.

Well, this an interesting read. I always wondered what those bat-ponies were really called. Thestral. Hmm. Yeah, that works.
It seems to me that Starswirl the bearded is like the Merlin of the MLP universe. I like the idea of ol' Swirly creating these beasties.
You put a lot of thought into this project. I wonder if anyone put as much effort into the Griffon empire history. I can only read so much every night, so I don't know.
There are a few misprints here and there. You keep misspelling the word forest. In the first chapter, there is a line that ends with "Princess Celestia needed to send her royal guard out the end it." Do you mean out TO end it?
If it weren't for my spell checker on my Abiword program, I'd misspell a lot, too, so don't feel embarrassed. MilesPrower06, the first Fimfic writer I devoured the work thereof, misspelled a bunch of words.
I'll be looking at one of your other stories before I log off tonight. Keep on writing.
