Bassicly ponies in ingress. This story is set in the future where ponies have smart phones. Anyhow Backstory! When scientists at Niantic discover a unknown energy they called "exotic matter" they made a chip to find more of this energy. But the device it had been put in had been stolen sold on PBay, a pony had bought this device and notice that it didn`t work well at all and would go berserk near certian places. When Niantic found out about it they broke into the house he was staying at and stole the device back. If you want a better backstory then my brain can remember just search ingress backstory, it will make this make more sense.
