Just on a side note for people who've read chapter 3 before this timestamped comment: I replaced Applejack's "transformation" and am moving it to a later story because I've come up with an Idea for another, probably better, way for Applejack to go insane. (It doesn't change much for this story, just that small scene)

I think the reason most dark fics miss that is because they're too focused on the cruelty of the character, not the reasons that they're doing such cruelties. (My personal belief is to give a reason behind most things by the end of the story. If the story misses the reasons that things happen, it takes a bit away from the story, which is why I'm a little unsure about the Rotten Core story...)

I think she had excepted that Rainbow Dash had been corrupted by her work here and kind of felt pity for the crazy Dash. (I guess. If you want me to explain it better, I can try)
