Very intriguing. The style of writing you displayed in this story is somewhat reminiscent of the revered 'shortskirtsandexplosions'; giving enough settings, information, and dialogue to draw the reader in, but at the same time being cryptic and not giving enough information to totally spoil the direction of the plot, thus keeping the reader engaged for much longer. Difference is the length, I like long chapters, but the gargantuan size of his stories and chapters puts me off somewhat. Oh, where am I going with this? That's enough of SS&E.
Hmm, what is 'it'? Perhaps a sort of symbol or pattern imprinted on various surfaces according to the seer? Or directions, telling the ponies to go to that particular spot?
Earth pony, unicorn, and pegasus... I doubt that's a coincidence. Maybe their specific races symbolize something, or are needed for a task or ritual?
Well, you got me curious. Expanding this story beyond its current complete status would be nice. The whole story has not yet been told to the humble audience!
