Goombasa

T

When an old enemy of Celestia's returns, capturing both her and the reformed Discord, Luna is forced to flee and warn Twilight and the other element bearers of this new threat. But, before anything can be done, Twilight finds her friends shoved between the pages of several different books, literally weaved into the narratives. With this new threat working constantly to cement his place as the newest ruler of Equestria, and her friends desperate to find happy endings, Twilight needs to take a journey into the medium she loves so much, and find a way to save not only the elements, but also the worlds within these stories before all of Equestria falls under the dominion of the charismatic Purple Prose and his mysterious and sinuous associate, Lady Ninetails.

It is a tale of adventure, a tale of romance, a tale of libraries! If you have ever felt as though the character you were reading about in a story was far more than just a collection of words on a page or a screen, then please, read on...

While I expected a couple things here, I was surprised by others. I'm glad you revealed what was helping Purple Prose so I wasn't left in the dark the entire series, I hate when writers do that. Pretty damn long for a prologue, the beginning was a little slow, but I guess you wanted to give it a feel that it was indeed a part of the MLP universe. He seems powerful, but at the same time how long will that power last without an actual horn? When I read your concept, and think of the ponies getting sucked into books, the only one I can think of is Huck Finn, so I know I will be pleasantly surprised by your story. While it is lon, I look forward to reading more when I have time, and hope this story will inspire an epic of my own.

You're right about this chapter being long, it took me forever to read, but my was it worth it. -w- There's so much to be said about everything here. It's so easy to hate Purple Pros, especially after what he did to Luna. I kinda want to see Ninetails break free just for an epic battle. Wonder if it will be anything like Okami. :derpytongue2: I'm happy to see Twilight managed to finally wipe that smug grin off his face, but while that was satisfying there is still the story, or stories at hand. I suppose you've read the books your referencing, or maybe your just using their concepts to make your own original ideas. I assume as much and look forward to the, though I wish one of the two mid-evil ones was a desert story. Don't judge me, I like Egypt. :rainbowderp: Anyways, I really hope Luna gets a second shot at Purple Pros, and while, again, it was quite long, it was still a very interesting and engaging read and I hope for more. Well done my friend. :pinkiehappy:
