He is known as Noteworthy. However, there is much more to this 'earth pony' than meets the eye. His real name is Patch Melody. Once a prince from another land, he was the consul of music in Equestria. When he is framed by an old enemy, Patch must flee the castle and his old life. Hiding as Noteworthy, a simple pony in the background of Ponyville, he soon realizes that keeping his secret will be much more difficult than he thought. Meanwhile, a dark force grows, threatening all that is musical in the world. It is up to Noteworthy and his 'new' friends to save Equestria from a silent future. Along the way, they all realize that in friendship, there are two sides to every story.

This takes place right after Season 1 Episode 10 in the Main Universe
(The story is written to fit within the timeline of the show, inspired by all the appearances of Noteworthy in the background. Ever wondered why he was sometimes a cyclops or a pegasus?)

Noteworthy's marefriend, Cipher Splash, is almost perfect. She's cute, witty, and great in bed. There's just one issue: she won't open up to him at all, dodging any and all personal questions. Months have passed, and he still knows next to nothing about her as a pony. Eventually, one of them has to give. What worries Noteworthy is the possibility that the first pony who does will be him.

A submission to the Two-Faced Charade Contest, as well as a companion piece to Cipher — Decryption. Reading both stories is recommended, but not necessary.

Some writers describe their characters enjoying their morning coffee way too much. So I went even further with this idea. This is more of a poke at meta, than a standalone story.

Get in the Christmas mood with this not-so heartwarming story. Granny Smith is about to die (she's old, it's gotta happen eventually), and Apple Bloom wants to get her one last Hearth's Warming day gift, but sadly, she doesn't have enough money.
