It's Halloween in Canterlot Heights and spooky fun is in the air. Indigo Zap receives an exclusive copy of the short film My Best Friend's a Zombie her older brother made for a film class. So she and some of her friends decide to invite themselves over to and spend the night at Sour Sweet's house (despite them not asking permission beforehand and her already being sick in bed with a cold) to watch it on her new TV.

However, some accidental underage drinking (courtesy of some "mocktails") a blackout and a sick Sour Sweet's fluctuating emotions lead the girls to believe that their friend has turned into a zombie and they must try to stop her.

After their father's death, Moondancer's stoner half-sister moves in with her and starts attending Crystal Prep Academy, bringing a carefree lifestyle and a laundry-list of illicit substances along with her. The two have never spent much time together, but they mix better than anyone might think. Then a smoky attempt at sisterly bonding sends both of them down a cosmic rabbit hole, and each develops seemingly psychic abilities.

They're so tweaked they don't even think to ask why they're calling these things "Stands".

Which would be fine, if not for the fact that opening their third eyes has made them noticeable. The Academy's party gods, the Friday Night Gurus, want to maintain their monopoly on the fifth dimension, and they're not going to stop at harshing a few mellows.

Two parts JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to one part stoner lit, a splash of John Dies at the End, and a generous garnish of prog rock and modern pop.
