This story picks up on Caramel as he is contemplating his life in the Royal Guards. He is no longer sure why he joined up in the first place, and it doesn't help when the object of his unspoken affection comes to visit.

Caramel hasn't had the nicest life out of anypony. His parents were abusive towards him, he grew up in a gang ridden state of Equestria and he's only ever had one friend in his life, Lucky Clover. He and Lucky think about starting anew when they arrive in Equestria, and all of it goes well for Caramel, and it gets even better for him when a Southern mare comes into his life.

High Note is a colt in Ponyville who runs a small record store on the outskirts of Ponyville. While he usually keeps to himself, his life takes a surprising turn when he falls in love.

Twilight was never cut out to be a princess. As it turns out, she wasn't very good a managing a country at all. Now she struggles with the rising revolution that has sprung up in Canterlot, while still trying to handle her fragile love with Caramel.

On the other side of the throne, there's Eiffel. He plans on leading to revolution to save Equestria from its "evil princess." But once he puts his plans into action, he finds himself under just as much pressure as the princess.

This is a story based off some ideas from the Coldplay album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. For copyright reasons, I must say that I, in no way, own any words or music from the album.

Surprisingly enough I did not create the name Eiffel. The fandom did for a certain background pony.
