The summer has ended. A new school year has began. And Sunny has already gotten into a fight with another filly.

It's the weekend, and the latest film to hit Maretime Bay theatre has arrived. Hitch looks forward to seeing them; however, when his grandmother cannot take him as planned, Sunny's father offers to take the young colt in her place. And in turn, he's also proposed that Hitch spend the night over which Sunny is delighted. But for the young colt, this will be the first time he's ever slept anywhere besides his home. Fear starts to set in if he can go through with this.

Ponies going missing was a normal thing at one point in Maretime Bay. They were brushed off as being taken by the unicorns or picked up by the pegasi, only fueling the fire of hate and fear. But after a year of ponies being back together, something seems to keep taking ponies and then returning them back with no memory of what they went through. Sunny and Hitch try to get to the bottom of this mystery.

As sunny went through the book she received from Spike she came across a blank page and so she had added her own friendship lesson. Then suddenly the book responded back to her. Excitedly she calls her closest and oldest friend to come and see.

Based on MYM Chapter 2 Episode 6

After irrationally adopting a new superhero alter ego following Sparky's disappearance, instead of scaring his citizens, Hitch’s alter ego, The Masked Colt, was hailed as Maretime Bay's newest protector. The new hero is adored by everypony, including Hitch’s own close friends. The problem? Everypony seemed to forget that Maretime Bay had a Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer.

Now under closer public scrutiny than before, Hitch learns to juggle his double life as both sheriff and superhero while trying to keep his identity hidden, with the help of a fillyfriend.

Sunny and her friends need to find a new place to live, before they drive each other crazy. But first, Sunny has to admit that to herself...

In "Tell Your Tale", the Crystal Brighthouse sort of came out of nowhere. Here's one possible take on how it came to be.

After numerous failed attempts to follow even the simplest of tasks, Opaline sends Misty out for one last mission, if she is to return unsuccessful then chances of getting her cutie mark will be forfeit, and she will be banished from the castle. Her mission is to extract information from Sheriff Hitch, or steal Sparky Sparkeroni, and if she is to fail then she'll have hell to pay.

In the New Generation movie, Canterlogic has only been around for 20 moons. So why does Hitch say he stops Sunny every year? Just how long has Hitch been stopping Sunny from sneaking into things? And why is it so important, not just for her sake, but for all of Equestria?

Here's a look at the backstory leading up to Sunny and Hitch's confrontation in the New Generation movie, and also on some of the mysteries surrounding Sunny's life in Maretime Bay in general.

After the events of “My Little Pony: Make Your Mark,” Maretime Bay has become the center for all pony tribes to mingle and befriend one another. Under the watchful gaze of Sunny Starscout and her friends, Equestria is slowly transitioning back to the unified society it used to be.

But when Zipp starts getting crazy ideas in her head about bringing Wonderbolts back, Sunny vows to make her friend’s dreams a reality no matter the cost. Pouring through every book in the brighthouse that she can find, Sunny and Zipp discover an old history book forgotten by scholars detailing the history of the acclaimed aerial stunt performers. Knowing that there is a group of Wonderbolt fanatics in the local Elementary School, Sunny resolves to get Zipp a job there as the new athletics coach.

As Sunny and Zipp attempt to train the students to become the next iteration of the Wonderbolts in only a week, the fillies may prove to be more difficult to teach than they initially imagined. Nonetheless, Sunny is determined to fulfill her promise to Zipp, proving beyond any doubt that the magic of friendship is still a powerful force in Equestria….
