Im going to rewatch all mlp episodes starting from the mare in the moon
...
So uh... now what?
I hope y'all are ready to learn.
Wallflower knows how to do the dougie
Wallflower can kill fuckers
Wallflower owned several Tamagotchis
Wallflower has an authentic animation cell of anthy from revolutionary girl utena
Wallflower misses watching Naruto in three-part videos on YouTube
Wallflower feels that Porygon gets a bad rap
As we moved into season 6, it seems I am not the only one who let out a cry of “But I still haven’t finished rewatching all of season 5!”
Back in the old days before season 3, when there were fewer episodes, there was plenty of time to rewatch everything. But now we have a legacy of over 120 episodes, plus Equestria Girls films and shorts… and the books and comics... And that’s before we even start on the fanfiction.
A couple of days ago I re-watched Apple Family Reunion and I noticed something that didn't add up. The close-up of a fruit bat responding to a pony's fruit-dressed hat was missing but Applejack's reaction to the change in the colony's flight path is left in.
We all know (and mildly resent) the reason for the edit to The Last Roundup, but this edit means nothing to me. Advertising isn't a reason as the source had none. Anyone else found this happening?
But anyway, a short summary:
I swear, I love these two. They're gonna drive me fucking mad.
After the break: some convo about my most recent fic, some plugs, and a scene.
Though there's little to laugh about in it, today's story is quite something.
Something Like Laughter[Dark] [Drama] [Slice of Life] • 4,027 words
(First things first: If you'd like a little mental exercise this weekend, Prawo Jazdy posted some nifty episode-name-based brainteasers. Click through and engage your puzzle gears!)
Check-in time! I'm about 8k words into the rewrite... which only covers about 1.25 chapters lol. It's turning out a lot longer than the original, which I'm glad for (looking back at the pacing and the characterization from the original..... yikes!!), but of course this means it will take me some time to write it properly as well.
like honestly
i need to see
Ursula bond with Akko again
Well, damn. This is a long one.
So it turns out I made it to Everfree Northwest 2023 after all -- well, most of it. I did have to miss a big chunk of Saturday, unfortunately, and some of Friday evening. But I got to see almost all the panels I was most excited for, got to do the big activities that I was itching to do, and got to meet (or reunite) with so many members of our lovely fanfic community!
My computer may be gone, but my reviews shall ever remain. A new computer is en route in many, many pieces, but I am done wallowing in self-pity over the loss of my extended brain.
Time to get some reviews done. You folks have been busy.
Today’s stories:
The Riddle of the Sphinx by Cold in Gardez
Barnstormer by GAPJaxie
Entry #649 by KitsuneRisu
Baby Pictures by King Moriarty
For those of you who missed my post earlier today, Mistletrapped’s sixth chapter went up earlier today.
But Mistletrapped is not all there is to the world of ponies today. There was an episode, which I actually liked! And, of course, new stories to be read.
None of which relate to today’s episode, so maybe that was a bit misleading. Still! I’m sure at least some of them will be good, right?
Today’s stories:
One other interesting aspect of the Royal Guard queue is that it encourages me to read stories I’d been putting off reading; if a story I’ve been putting off reading ends up on the list, I’ll frequently end up checking it out to see what I’ve been missing. A number of today’s stories came up in this very way.
Today’s stories:
Hello, My Name Is by LoyalLiar
The Great and Showerful Trixie by Pascoite
Living Forever by Whateverdudezb
Reviews, reviews, who’s got the reviews?
TD, apparently.
In an attempt to simultaneously get something done, clear out the Royal Guard queue a bit, and to procrastinate, I’ve got five more stories read and reviewed for you folks.
Today’s stories:
There’s a First Time for Everything by Dubs Rewatcher
Cutie Mark Crusader Magicians, Yay! by DrakeyC
On the Application of Time and Motion Efficiency Studies to Initial Relationship Formation by Estee
The doors of the Badfic Slaughterhouse have opened once more, and six stories now stand in front of the Badfic Grinder 3000™ (revision 6). Continue reading to find out which ones should go onto your reading lists and which will be thrown into the grinder for your twisted amusement.
Also, an important (to me, at least) message is waiting at the end.
In this edition of Badfic Slaughterhouse:
—Celestia OP. Nerf plz.
—An action scene is re-envisioned with creepy groping.
