Did you know I once wrote a story that didn't have Princess Celestia in it in any way, shape, or form?
True story.
Did you also know that when I showed it to Georg to get his thoughts, he had to rewrite half of the story?
Another true story. It was that bad.
Would you all like to see it?
If you've looked in the comments on my story--either here or on the writeoff site that birthed it--you might have already seen this. But if you haven't, you haven't, and you should!
As much as I think I'm doomed with the attempt, I'm going to try doing Equestria Daily's National Pony Writing Month this year, although with a lower goal than recommended. If I hit my goal, I'll be happy. If I reach 50k, I'll be amazed. If I double my goal… my wife will take away my computer, most likely.
Here's what I'm sending in to Equestria Daily:
— (updated 2/25/17 because I was reminded.)
To be more precise, I edited and revised it.
I somehow attracted the attention of the irreplaceable Georg and grudgingly submitted to gratefully accepted his assistance, which was particularly invaluable due to his experience writing children's stories.

Hello, everyone!
Thank you all so much for your patience these past weeks!
I am thrilled to report George has made a wonderful recovery, and is doing much, much better!
With him now eating on his own (and gaining back the weight he lost while he was sick), overcoming jaundice, and now on a couple liver supports for the rest of his life, I can say the best outcome has been achieved, and George isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Given recent events, I believe that it would be appropriate to give my opinion on things, for what it’s worth. Living in New York City, it isn’t always obvious how much of a factor racism is in the United States. Granted, my mother did insist that as a black man, I will have to work twice as hard to get the same recognition as a white person. However, I was never raised with a victim mentality, and knowing how far we have come as a society, I know that colorblindness is possible, even if
My top 5 songs to remember him on this day:
1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
2. Don't Bother Me.
3. Got My Mind Set On You
4. Here Comes The Sun
5. My Sweet Lord.
Starting off quick with stories that I liked and that you might like too. Plug, Plug, Plug (because I haven’t done that for a while, and it’s time to share the love)
Writing is Hard by Eakin. Seriously, it’s by Eakin. That’s reason enough to read it right there.
1. Never use a metaphor, simile or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
2. Never use a long word where a short one will do.
3. If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
4. Never use the passive where you can use the active.
5. Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
6. Break any of these rules sooner than say anything barbarous.
George Miller's third entry in his iconic Mad Max franchise is possibly the most unabashedly cheesy entry in the series, yet still manages to find its place among the likes of the far more visceral Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Fury Road. In what was really the first properly budgeted Mad Max film, Miller, and his co-director George Ogilvie hype the franchise up to it's extremes, going bigger, louder and hammier, and in many ways, that's what gives it it's own, uniquely
