Daily Blog #76 · 4:29am Nov 8th, 2017

Once again, I repeat myself: Screw Comcast.

Random Fact: Comcast and Centurylink, as well as a smattering of smaller ISP's, were recently hit with a massive, rolling set of internet outages caused by technical issues on Centurylink's behalf. Ironically, this is due to Centurylink having scooped up an ISP called "Level-3" that provides access to other ISPs. Including itself and Comcast. Unfortunately, I'm still feeling the brunt of that.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Random Fact: It's indeed still possible to use a 56k modem to load modern websites. It's just painfully slow.

Now that I'm practically a full quarter into the school year, you can probably tell that I've gotten comfortable by the massive load of productivity that I've pretty much slapped down wherever I've gone.

Somehow, in Angry Birds 2 in the Arena, I beat someone with nearly 100 ranking points more than me.

Humour · 6:37pm Oct 10th, 2016

I needed a laugh, so I ran an internet image search for 'funny'. Nothing more than vaguely amusing presented itself. Does anyone know the approximate date on which humans gave up on wit and situational humour and replaced them with captioned images of animals pulling unlikely faces?

Let's get this thing back on track, shall we?

Random Fact: in most devices, if adequate cooling isn't provided, than the CPU and other components may begin to "thermal throttle"-- that is, slow down in order to prevent overheating.

Thoughts & Opinions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Honestly, it actually kinda feels weird doing actual writing again after around a month-long hiatus.

Honestly, my avatar looks a bit... off.

Random Fact: While most dogs shed, there's a class of dogs that are typically known to by "hypoallergenic", and usually won't shed their fur. These dogs are usually very good pets for people with allergies to dog fur, since their fur isn't going to stick to everything.

Welp. The AMD k6 arrived today. · 7:39pm Jul 22nd, 2017

It’s not the model I ordered. I ordered the k6-233ANR, but instead got the k6-2-450AHX. The difference? The former is compatible with 3.3 volt core and I/O, while the latter I know will die immediately upon powering on from overvolting the 2.4 volt I/O.

Left a “meh” 3-star rating, and now I’m watching Amazon again for some k6-233ANRs for under $10.

Going to have a lot of time to write for the next week · 5:23am Jun 1st, 2019

Have most of the rest of my work week off once Saturday is fini- so that means I will have multiple days to most likely finish (or get close enough so that I would be able to finish when I'm off of work the next week) Wanted to keep this this monthly due to it being very helpful on organizing my free time around but sometimes that's difficult. To make up for that, I seem to write longer chapters.

Short stories are easy · 7:47am Jul 4th, 2015

Short stories are easy. Plus when you write them for someone in a chat it makes it even easier. So easy.

Thus there's another new story coming up that's short (before you complain: shut up, I'm busy, long stories take a long time).

Enjoy.

A Dying Embers spin off? · 10:58am Jan 15th, 2017

When I started writing Dying Embers I never expected it to do as well as it did, if it wasn't for my readers supporting me the project likely would have been scrapped long ago

As I've mentioned previously I would be adding characters into the story submitted by readers. One of these characters was Slicer Jen submitted by no other than Slicerjen.

It seems that my work has motivated him to do his own spin off of Dying Embers looking into Slicer's background.

I did not build my PC to get hundreds of frames per second only to have the freakin' server lag instead.

Random Fact: Mineplex probably runs its servers off of a potato rack. Probably. Either way, they're pretty much one of the laggiest (and biggest) Minecraft server to exist.

Five minutes you say? It cannot be done you say? WELL! I shall prove you wrong! And I shall do it with the help of a fellow musician! So, regarding one of the latest episodes of SU, a lot of stuff has to be considered, when trying to figure out how Pink Diamond was shattered.

First, how did her entourage(?) not warn everyone of the attacker? Rose Quartz couldn't have gotten close enough to actually strike her down.

Informal Challenge to those interested! · 9:20pm May 26th, 2019

Hey guys.

Recently I've been thinking a lot about a topic that, personally, interests me an awful lot, so I decided to make a sort of game about it. To organise the whole thing I made a group for it, but frankly it's more about people trying it out than being a part of a group or contest.
